    • Hello from a Joan who -uh, er- does not love cats.

        • Um, I just realized I started posting without introducing myself. So, here I am. I work in the loan business (you can probably guess that from my user name) but I'm just a lowly peon. I'm more interested in being here because of the good information on saving, frugal living, getting out of debt, and other things that look really useful for my personal life.

          • Wow, I totally missed this post! Anyways, I actually found this forum by doing a Google search on debt discussions. I am about 2 years into a debt consolidation program with about 18 months to go. I am 37 years old and hope to have the credit cards and both cars paid off by my 40th birthday. So far, so good! Glad I found this forum and love the advice on here!

            • Hello from: Brooklyn New York - Not sure if...

...this is the right thread to post introductions. For obvious reasons, I am new and I need to learn about the ins and outs of this particular forum. One thing for sure though is this, I definitely look forward to networking with some smart folks here. Take care for now.

              • My name is Josh, and I happened to stumble upon this forum a few weeks ago. It seems like you've built a nice community here, and I look forward to participating from time to time and helping out in any way I can.

For fun, I rock climb and love to travel - especially in Asia where things are dirt cheap! For work, I run Creditnet.com, a free resource for consumer credit education and product recommendations. So, I hope to be able to provide some insight specifically related to questions about credit and debt.

                Thanks for having me.

                        • Hello Everyone!

                          Hello Everyone...

My name is Patrenia Spears and I've been lurking here in the forums for a while just getting a feel for how things run around here . I have made a few comments to get my feet wet, not new to forums, but it's like being at a party making new friends.

My story is that my husband and I worked our way out of about $93,000 worth of debt for 3.5 years and became debt free in 2008. It's been a wild ride. I'm a new blogger as well, but will not name the website to follow the rules. I definitely look forward to the interaction and making great contribution here.

As you can see, I write most of the content for the site. I honed my money saving skills living in Japan (where I still am at the moment, but I'll be returning to the US this summer) where prices can be quite outrageous at times. I started writing articles for foreigners living in Japan on how to save money and it was picked up by several magazines out here...and the rest is history. That is how my finacial and money saving writing started.

I did teaching out here for a long time, but now survive doing eBay full time...this allows me to stay home and I've turned the one time hobby into a respectable income source. I have a auction article currently up that gives the basics for those who want to turn ebay into a business and should be adding quite a bit more over the next few months.

I'll leave it at that for now...if you hang out in the forums much you'll eventually learn more than you probably want to about me

I am interested about making in ebay. Is it difficult and how could start? I like cameras, lenses and I also like books.

                            • Welcome to the forums. Wow, a lot has changed from when I first put up this thread.

It is still possible to make money on ebay, but it does take a lot of time and you definitely need to be knowledgeable in the area that you are selling if you are trying to make it a full time income.

                              • Good afternoon all, my name is Everett and am from New York. I am basically learning how to use forums. Basically, my interest is to learn how to advertise in the forums without being banned. At the same time, I like to learn. This forum is about savings and am interested in that. After 12 months, I earned $2,020 with $50 in a highly risky internet investment firm. I was so happy and suddenly that company vanished and there went my $2000.00. You see why I am here? I want to learn about whatever I can find on saving money. I stopped by my bank and learned that I could deposit $500 and earn about 21% a year tax free and it compounds and my bank will not vanished. Anyway, i think by now you get the drift of who I am. Just help me out with the free advertising in Forums but know that I am also looking for ideas and will read the threads. Thank you, Everett
