Oops - I somehow missed this thread! Duh!

SAHM - 5 children, 2 still at home. Wife of 24 years - May Dec marriage. Looking towards Hubster's retirement in 6-7 or so years & paying off mortgage $24000 remaining & counting down! No other debt! YEAH!!

I really like it here for some reason. Ya'll are very welcoming - must be - cuz I'm usually reticent! You guys bring out the gabby in me! Must be because we have similar interests. Anyway, VERY GLAD to be here.

Well, I've been posting here and have a blog, but I don't think I ever introduced myself!
I'm Koppur, 28, and I live in Southeastern Massachusetts. I work for a non-profit, so my salary is fairly low. I have some CC debt, but not nearly as much as I used to have.

In 2000-2001 I dated a guy who had me open credit card after credit card for him (in my name). I had 13 credit cards and over $20,000 debt on them. I've been working on paying them off, and I think most of that debt is gone by now. I'm sure what I owe in cc debt is still some of that, but the bulk of it is gone.

I still have about $13,000 in cc debt, but that is from living on CC's while struggling to finish grad school and job hunt the last 4 or so years, and of course, what is left over for the $20,000. And I'm a spender. Bad with money. So bad.

So, I found this website one day and I'm completly hooked! Being accountabel to my blog (and in turn, you all) has kept me on track pretty well. And the tips and advice are great. Reading your blogs keeps me inspired.

            So, hmmm, that's me.

Hello all. I found this forum today and liked what I saw so I joined. I'm a 20 year old full-time worker, part-time student and soon to be full-time father. Just another kid trying to work hard and save money to buy a home in a few years so my son can grow up in a better environment than I did.

Hi Everyone! I just found this site tonight searching for frugal tips!

I realized about a month ago that I really need to pay more attention to where our money goes. Since DH and I cannot depend on an annual pay increase, and with the price of everything going up all the time we need to make what we do have go even further.

I never considered myself 'frugal', but I am pretty good with money. DH and I have credit scores in the 800s and I don't want to jeopardize that because we don't have enough $$ to pay bills on time.

I have made some short term and long term financial goals, and have already begun working toward these goals, thanks to tips I have found online so far.

I thank you all for the tips that I have read so far and look forward to learning even more...I also hope that I am able to share some tips with all of you!

Just a quick post to introduce myself...again. It's jodi_m, but I just changed my name to jodi. Thought I would do a quick post here to avoid any confusion.

I'm from NJ. Found this site googling for the words budget and forum. I'm currently working off a car loan, dabbling in IRA's, Roth IRA's, and brokerage accounts, and avoiding credit card use like the plague.
