hurd2390 here. I just recently signed up and have been looking over the site...I like the honesty I see from everyone on money issues and things relating to the family. I am an independant business owner with a large company in the health benefits field, and this allows me to spend some quality time at home with my wife and 10 children(we also are a foster home). I would like to tell people more about my business, but I don't know what forum to go to. Can somebody direct me? Thanks.
My name is Jen. I live in San Francisco, CA. I recently inherited my father's small but complex (for me) estate. So I'm signing up with a variety of financial sites, as I finally have to start managing more than just my monthly paycheck.
Nothing to add at this point. Just have some free time on a Sunday and decided to get things started.
hurd, don't know the answer to your question. Ask Jeffrey. Jeffrey??
ladyfacesf, sorry to hear about your Dad. My husband is currently acting as the Executor on his father's estate. It is a bit much and leaves not much time for grieving!
Hi all. I've been lurking for a while and I thought I would introduce myself. I am so excited to find you all. I am a big dave ramsey fan & I'm eager to rid myself of all my debt esp. my remaing Hell loan & my stupid SUV. I'm interested in learning from all of you about building wealth & not ever borrowing money again.
No, I'm really not insulting myself by calling myself the Happy Slob. In fact I even wrote a book: "The Happy Slob's Guide to Housecleaning" based on the fact that I'm pretty darned laid back. I'm also an incredibly frugal person, by nature.
I'm a 32-year old freelance writer, happily married for 11 years to my best friend. Mom to two 'fuzzy children' (and YES, I do have meaningful conversations with them! ).
I hope to add lots of helpful ideas on saving money in a fun way. SO glad to have found these boards -- we all need a lot of support to maintain our frugal ways in a society that tells us: Spend, Spend, SPEND!
Hugs to you all,
Christina
P.S. Not sure if I can post my website here or not... I'd love feedback from all of you, but I won't post it for now to make sure I don't step on any toes.
