Hello I am new here. I have a DH and two little ones, almost 4 and 5. I came here looking for ideas on how to start saving more for college for my children. It seems as though there are a lot of nice people here with great ideas and advice, so I may be sticking around
Hello,
New here. I've posted a few times so thought I'd better introduce myself. I'm a SAHM to an older dd. My 'job' is saving as much of dh's money as possible. Our goal is to be completely debt-free (including the house) in five years. My favorite pass time lately is reading everything I can get my hands on concering money. This site is great!
Anyway, this is me. *waves* Going to go read now....

Hi. Just another fish in what appears to be a fairly big pond.
Looking forward to learn lots of new things about personal financing and stay inspired to live frugally.
If there are any particular rules or norms that I should be aware, please let me know.
Thank you, and again, hello everyone.
Welcome. I think you'll find that the site is a neighborly place with a lot of support no matter what type of personal finance information your looking for. We are pretty laid back, but do have these rules as a means to keep out SPAM and keep the forums a quality place to visit.
Newb alert! Ive been reading your forums for a couple months now. Its quite a change from the car forums I visit. Its nice to read about saving b/c it inspires me to do the same.
A bit about me
23, single never married female, North Florida
Student, but graduating in 2 weeks!
Ive worked since I was 16 so I had a lot of fun toys and experiences since my mom was so broke. I didnt work to live, but I certainly worked for fun. That continued into college where I worked 40 hours a week plus FT school. I wanted to have some expensive fun so I bought my first car on my own when I was 19. I "modded" it and its finally paid off and "finished." Its my pride and joy www.cardomain.com/id/sakigt
My newest pride and joy is a 2/2 condo I just bought using FL's 1st time homeowner's program.
I got really lucky overall since my mother was a single divorced mom with no education. I realized very early on in life that credit was very important. I havent been perfect and I have some debt listed below...but overall I think Im doing well.
Hoping to spend more time here with all you good influences
If only I had my stuff together as you at that age...!
And even given your difficult family situation...you are a trouper!
Keep up the good work and never stop improving yourself.
You'll make some lucky girl very happy someday.
You are an inspiration for all young the young folks here. :
SORRY sakigt!
(guess I missed that part...hehe.)
(I think it was the car thing that threw me off!)
...just substitute the word girl 4 guy ....!
And don't settle for any bums either!
Your too good for that!
A guy will ruin your life faster than you can blink an eye if you choose the wrong one. Find someone who is as motivated and going someplace as you.
(couldn't resist giving advice - because I'm so full of it! LOl!
Hi guys
Sorry it took me so long to introduce my self, I am Amber 31 year trying to be debt free.
I found this site back in February and I love it. I had been looking for a site with well designed especially for financial purposes and this is the one. I am a part-time student paying my way through school (no loans) no children and I have about $5000.00 in debt. I am hoping I will learn so much from you guys that I can share your thoughts and views with others.
Thanks for all your responses as well as post
I am a married mom to 4. 2 of the kids are grown, 2 are in high school. I also attend college part time. I've been selling on ebay for 8 years this month and it's been good to me!
