Hi, my name is Kitty and I live in Juneau, Alaska. The cost of living is pretty high up here and I don't make a lot of money as a Secretary. Also I'm a homeowner which has it's challenges. I am divorced with no kids, 38 years old. Thanks for having these boards, they are great !

I'm new here- I am 22 years old, finished my BA in Psychology at Nazareth College (Rochester NY) in December 2004, worked as a resident counselor at a runaway and homeless shelter for teens where I interned in college, officially graduated in May, moved to Princeton NJ with my boyfriend in July, began student loan repayment in August, and bought a new car in October. (This is why I need to be better about saving money!! Hoping to start grad school in June of 2006 for my Master's degree in School Psychology. Currently I am a preschool teacher, I do some babysitting, and thanks to my aunt, I've started selling a bunch of the knitted things I've made (purses).

Hello everyone! Been lurking in the forums for about a month and decided to join in the fun. I'm a 26 yr. old originally from Atlanta, GA, moved to Champaign, IL for grad school, met my now wife, and moved to the East Bay (of the San Francisco area) where we've lived for the past 2 and 1/2 years. I've always been a very money conscious person, and now am starting to look forward to a family, education for family, and hopefully a relaxed retirement.

I stumbled on this site last night, and finally registered tonight. What a super place with lots of great information.

I'm a newbie. For the last two years, I've written a frugal column for the Miami Herald.
But within the last two months, I've started blogging. I'm having a blast.

I love the exchange of ideas, insights and data on this site and I will be back often

Hello. Another newbie that has been lurking and decided it was time to post. I am hoping to retire in 4 years but do not have a lot saved up so your site is giving me alot of information. I will be recieving a couple of small pensions plus SSI so hopefully your site will help me there.

22 female and married, I work as a real eatate agent and go to college on at night! I'm trying to think of the future when it comes to my husbands and I retirement, and I hope to do the best that i can while I am young!

I"m a sahm to two dd's. Since we've been on one income I'm always looking for a cheaper way to do things & or cut back on costs so we have some spending money. I do participate in some various points sites & several freebie sites. Afterall, some months when things are super tight is when all those free samples come in handy

I'm lways on the look out for a great deal!

I've browsed this site more than a few times, but I keep losing it (silly bookmarks)... so I decided to finally register, hoping that perhaps that will help me find it again.

I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia a couple of years ago, and had to quit working and drop out of school... so money being tight is an understatement.

My condition has encouraged me to become far more thrifty than I ever imagined I could be... but I couldn't do it without the help of this site (there's such an overwhelming amount of info on the web, it's impossible to navigate everything -- thanks for the helpful map).

I am called nimrod by my friends. I only use my PC to send emails and check on things like this one. I am always looking for things because I am on a fixed income. My hobby if you can call it that is playing Golf games on the PC. Nothing else to tell.
