Hi! My name is Laura. I am an elementary teacher, single, with no kids. I found this site via a reccomendation of a poster on one of the Frugal chatboards I read daily. I have dealt with a lot of ups and downs financially, and am ready to keep it to the ups!

I am a sahm of 2 girls, 13 & 14. My husband lives in a different state as he is trying to save up enough money to move here. Long Story. We live 14 miles from town on 5 acres with very few nieghbors. We have had a milking cow, a horse, chickens, & a rabbit. But now we just have dogs, cats, & composting worms. It is gross to change the worm bin. It looks like some horror movies prop with all those squiggly things. When we had the cow, we made our own ice cream, butter, & cheese. That was nice.

I found the site from a referal on another list I'm on.

I'm a former first grade teacher who is now a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom! I'm also a single, adoptive mom, so adoption (international and domestic) is a favorite topic of mine. I love to see God put families together through adoption.

I moved to the mountains of Arkansas 2 years ago. When I moved to my own land and home a year ago, my frugal life kicked into full gear. All the tips I've learned make our lifestyle much more enjoyable. I think the nice term for our life is "homesteading"! LOL!

Jeffrey, I have been spreading the word on the Prairie Homemaker site and the group called Frugal-Folks-Life group through yahoo groups. Heehee btw, I would recommend both.

K I have been here for like a month, but never posted who I am here, not sure if anyone cares, but I have two kids, 2yoDS and 1yoDD, my wonderful husband does all the work and I stay home and play with the kids . I do sort of sell toys but only cause I like them and want the discount. I also teach my kids, and want to get into teaching other kids too. (only cause Jeffery says it would save me money to have a home buisness, thanks for the kickstart. Well that and I love teaching kids to read, but it will be awhile before I can teach my DD and DS already knows how.) Anyway I woke up and realized that piddling around with saving money wasn't cutting it and found this site, so far I have made some amazing changes in our lifestyle, simple but really showing in the checking account.

I'm from Georgia, USA, a great southern friendly state. Well, most times.

We don't earn alot of money so I am always looking for ideas.

I like people and am interested in their lives. I'm not sure how I stumbled on this site, but I like it!

I am married with 2 college freshman sons. I want to eventually gain the courage to change careers, help my boys get established in their lives, and just enjoy life with my hub. I want to travel and see more of the country.

I am Dana. I live in Northwest Alabama. I am 31 years old. I am married and have a dog! I am desperatly trying to get us to a place where we can save money and get rid of the debt that we do have. I am looking forward to all of the advice and suggestions that you all may have.

I'm a working, married mom of 1. She'll be a year soon! Before we had her my husband and I spent freely. We both have very good paying jobs and bought whatever we wanted. I went on 5 trips the year before I had her. Now we're trying to be very frugal, with college to pay for in 18 yrs and a car to buy in 16. I think 10x before buying a high ticket item, do I really need that or can I put that in her savings account instead?? I heard of this site on a work at home site. I really enjoy everyone's stories and tips. So that's me in a nutshell.
