The wild raspberries are growing like mad on the farm right now. Picked a bunch a couple days ago and made three raspberry pies with homemade heart attack lard crust. Gave two away and we are eating on one.
Went back out this morning and picked another 5-6 quarts.

The garden is also in full swing and we are getting a bunch of green beans, tomatoes just starting, cucumbers producing like mad, etc.

I've mentioned that we recently bought our next house here in Idaho. I got here last Thursday, and over the last few days have been taking care of cleaning, random little repairs, etc. But I realized that a few of the bigger things that the sellers had agreed to fix were not actually done completely. They're still fairly minor things, but for us to do them ourselves would cost us probably ~$400 to fix ourselves. It kinda bothered me that they had agreed to fix them & didn't, so I reached out to our realtor and asked if we were just stuck dealing with it ourselves, or if we could reasonably go back & ask them to cover the cost of doing them. She pretty quickly worked out with them to have a couple contractors out to fix the issues, and it should all be done in the next week or so, at no cost to us.

I got an email today from the online casino I play at saying they had added a $36.86 bonus to my account. They do that from time to time in various amounts. I haven't played for several weeks so I reinstalled the app and played for a while until I had played through the bonus money. Then I was able to withdraw what I had left: $37.85. Free money. I'm good with that.

1. Earlier in the week, my wife claimed some vinyl fabric from our local Buy Nothing Facebook group. She will use it for some sewing projects. It sells for about $10-12/yard and she got 2-3 yards of it for free.

2. Today, she claimed two packs of magnetic snaps like the kind used on purse closures. She will use those in future sewing projects. They sell for about $5/pack.

3. We are hosting a family Zoom party for my mother's birthday next week. I have a free Zoom account but needed to upgrade to a paid account so that we didn't have the 40-minute time limit on the party. It is $14.99/month but I did a quick search for coupon codes and found a 20% code which saved me $3.00.

So those 3 things saved us around $30 total this week.

Starting to become a fan of LL Bean.
Bought a winter jacket with liner from them a couple years ago, zipper went bad, returned it and they replaced it for free. The replacement lasted a couple seasons, zipper went bad, sent it in, they replaced it for free again, arrived this morning.
They've obviously got some zipper quality issues with that model, but so long as they continue to replace defective products like that, no questions asked, I'm going to remain a customer.

Their guarantee is legit. We bought DD a backpack years go. After a couple of years, one of the straps ripped. Took it back and picked out a new one. A couple years after that, something else broke. Took it back and got a new one again. No questions asked. We were in and out in 5-10 minutes. Couldn't have been easier. We still have that backpack some 10 years later.

I always tell people not to buy their kids cheap backpacks at Target or Walmart. Rather than buying a new one every year for $10, spent $50 once and have it for life.

A small win but I'll take it. The monthly premium for my disability insurance and DW's life insurance dropped by $10.69/month thanks to increased dividends on a couple of the policies. That's $128.28 less/year. Not a ton of money but every little bit counts. That can pay for a couple of nice meals out.

I am not sure this is a "win" because I have mixed feelings about this, but I will be getting a refund on my Disney World Annual Pass--it looks like 9 months worth.

I also requested a refund on my Disneyland Annual Pass several months ago, but I have not yet received it. At least they presented a time line with the Disney World AP (expect to receive it in Sept).

I definitely counted my WDW AP refund as a win. It was spent money I never expected to see again but I got back over $300.

Why do you have APs for both parks rather than the Premier Pass that is good at both? Is it cheaper that way?

Well, I had 31 nights scheduled between Oct and Dec at our timeshare, but I cancelled all but one visit (for 7 nights). DH is lukewarm about going. He definitely does not want to get on an airplane and he won't go into the parks, but he said he'd drive me. So, I switched our reservation to a 1 bedroom with a kitchen so we can cook. But, I'm not sure we will go at all.

Why do you have APs for both parks rather than the Premier Pass that is good at both? Is it cheaper that way?

We used to have Premier Passes, but the individual passes are cheaper mainly because I get a DVC discount on the individual passes (no discounts for the Premier Pass). But, also I stagger the renewal times (DL--renewal in June every other year and WDW--renewal in Oct every other year). And, I get a cheaper pass when I can--I had to get the WDW premium AP last year because we went at Christmas time, otherwise I would have purchased a DVC WDW gold pass. I usually get the deluxe pass at DL (which has block out dates, but so far I have been able to work around them).

I gave that one thumbs up, granola is way more expensive that brands like Cheerios or life, so DIY is a good way to go there.

We have been thinking about selling my hubby's car for a bit. We don't ever drive it and are relocating soon. We though maybe $2,000 or so. Turns out it is worth closer to $5k. I know we won't get all of that but somewhere in the middle would nearly fund our relocation. Win!

Also... we have been able to earn about $300 from side hustles so far this month.
