Hi everyone, My name is Hugh and Ive been lurking around this website for a while. I decided to come out of the closet and introduce myself. Im in my mid 20s and have a very bad spending habbit, so I decided its time to save. I stumble across this site and felt this site can help me in this area. Also, my career is in the financial industry and I think I can help others on this forum as well as myself.

Good luck with that, John, not a job I'd want myself.
My name's Korey, I somehow found myself on this website almost a week ago and love it. I'm 21 years old, currently counting down the days until I graduate college (62), at which time I'll be commissioning as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Money matters became interesting to me about 1.5 years ago when a friend taught me about mutual funds and IRAs, and I've since been learning everything I can about how finances work, and how to make them work for you. Thus the reason I think this site is great... so thank you to jeffrey and the rest who run it for us all. Oh, one negative quality... I'm very verbose, so anytime you see my posts, they'll probably be pretty long (this is a shorter post for me)... sorry.
Well, I look forward to hearing what you all have to say and think about money and finances... see you on the boards.

Hi all, I've been posting for a few weeks and I thought I would formally introduce myself. I am happily married with a young daughter. We live in a modest rowhome in Baltimore with our dog. I am an engineer with a thing for numbers so I can get technical sometimes, but my wife (a social worker) balances me out nicely. I like the thinking on these boards and I am looking forward to hanging out as much as possible.
