    wakeupnow

To make money in a mlm company you have to have people under you making no money.

Can you sleep at night after you have pressured your elderly grandma or auntie or friend to join, even though you know they won't use the services, are over charged for the services and are not the type to spend hours trying to convince people to join a questionable company so your recruits will only lose money?

Look I recently joined Wake Up Now and it has been a complete life changer. I've been making close to $10,000 a week and got a few new girlfriends. My cholesterol has gone way done and I've also been in the best shape of my life. I can't believe no one else is signing up for this! I've personally contacted each one of my friends and told them about this and their life is becoming great too! Actually as I am typing this, I just got another check in the mail for $5,000 thank you Wake Me Up! For people who think it's a scam, just try it out, it's only $100 at first, but that's a small amount in the whole grand scheme of things. Like many of you, I was skeptical at first, but after my initial deposit, my life has changed to the point that I was able to quit my job and live off the money generated from Wake Up Now. I'm going on a trip next week around the world, and it cost me nothing - in fact I get paid money to do it! If you're ready to make a life changing investment, you won't get it by sleeping, you get it by waking up - Now!

        wakeupnow

For every one person commenting they have made money with wakeupnow there are 99 who lost money.

99% of approximately 15 million MLM participants every year lose money.

Most MLM victims remain silent due to 1) guilt they could have worked the system better, 2) backlash from those who recruited them and from the owners of the MLM, 3) self incrimination as they recruited unwitting persons to cover their escalating expenses of participation. (see report: ftc.gov/os/comments/bizoppstaffreport/00012-57312.pdf)

There actually are probably thousands who lost money for every one person you see making a comment they made money in wakeup. Most people do not comment if they made money and very few comment if they lost money.

Such is the case for everything in life..there will always be a majority of failures over those that succeed.

Working with MLM can provide an additional income to what you're already making - which could be life changing. Thing is, for most cases, its not 'easy money' like what people portray it to be. Some people who come in to the MLM industry think its going to generate them HUGE amount of income in a short amount time. For most people, that will not happen.

People throw away money all the time, carelessly. Investing a measly $100 to potentially change your financial life is nothing to complain about - and if it is, then you are definitely broke lol.

Many people lose money easily and if $1200 is pocket change for you and you like to gamble and have lots of friends who like to gamble you may want to try it. It is not about the product but about the get rich quick hope.

It reminds me of those chain letters where they tell you to send $10 to 10 addresses within 7 days and you will make thousands and if you don't you'll be cursed.

Just remember you are gambling and accept the consequence, including having the company shut down by the states attorneys.

Note below is from wikipedia on Multi-level marketing:

Another criticism is that MLM has effectively outlived its usefulness as a legitimate business practice. The argument is that, in the time when America was a series of relatively small, isolated towns and rural areas not easily accessible to small companies, MLM was a useful way to let people know of and buy products or services. But the advent of internet commerce, with its ability to advertise and sell directly to consumers, has rendered that model obsolete. Thus, today, nearly all modern MLMs ostensibly sell vastly overpriced goods and services (if there even is a real product or service involved at all) as a thin cloak of legitimacy, while their members are driven to recruit even more people into the MLM, effectively turning these programs into pyramid schemes.[35]

"Roland Whitsell, a former business professor who spent 40 years researching and teaching the pitfalls of multilevel marketing": "You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone making over $1.50 an hour, (t)he primary product is opportunity. The strongest, most powerful motivational force today is false hope."[33]

                    • The benefits are worthless in that you can get the same deals without paying the monthly membership fee through other online outfits.

                      • Wake Up Now now enforcing MANDATORY SALES, lol

I saw a link today that said Wake Up Now, beginning Oct 1st, will require their "IBOs" to sale their product now to seven customers who will have to pay a bare minimum of $24.95 a month (in order to make ANY commission)...in addition to the "help your 3 get 3".

A way for them to force the sale of their products (so that it doesn't appear to be a pyramid scheme). If this is true...it's only a matter of time before this company is completely demolished.

I had a close friend interested in this company so decided to research & slowly the negative complaints/reviews are coming out of the wood-work & it isn't looking good.

                        • wakeupnow

To see the article about the new wakeupnow rules starting Oct. 1 2013 go to:

                          behindmlm.com/companies/that-free-thing/wakeupnow-to-enforce-mandatory-retail-sales-quota/

Below are taken from the article:

WakeUpNow’s retail offering consists of three subscription packages, the lowest being Silver at $24.95. This would mean that in order to earn commissions, a WakeUpNow affiliate would need to have at least seven Silver non-affiliate retail customers.

Demonstratively WakeUpNow’s membership subscriptions have failed to gain any retail traction for four years running now.

Not all multilevel marketing plans are legitimate. If the money you make is based on your sales to the public, it may be a legitimate multilevel marketing plan.

If the money you make is based on the number of people you recruit and your sales to them, it’s not. It’s a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal.

And it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what would happen if a regulator was to step in and go over WakeUpNow’s books.

                          • wake up now

I have an acquaintance who's involved with wake up now. First of all, he's more than annoying with his constant posting on facebook about how amazing the "company" is, talking about taking "paycations", pep talks (that he hasn't authored) & pressuring people to join in. I'm actually thinking of deleting him, it's THAT annoying.

Secondly, I see posts from people connected to him stating that they "wish they would've kept their day job". Sad, but true. He is someone who I personally know to have been involved with many of these types of businesses over the yrs, including amway (where he lost a TON of moolah!) & ignite.

Third, while I am certainly no expert (although I have only 500$ debt to my name!), it seems to me that the people that advocate the brand most rabidly are by & large poorly spoken and seem almost manic in their zeal.....which does not foster a feeling of confidence in me. In fact, it makes me think they are attempting to prey on peoples' lack of knowledge about the product with their verbose, rambling testimonials that give no solid evidence of anything. JMO.

It does seem to be a rather losing bet, unless you are the pushy, in-your-face type of salesperson who just won't take "NO!" for an answer. The acquaintance of mine is that guy, lol. I tend to be rather practical & frugal, thinking the best way to become financially secure is cutting back on unnecessary spending, ie-make your own damn coffee & eschew the coffee shop, cook your own meals instead of buying prepared food & utilizing sales. You really need to ask yourself if you NEED more material items when you're trying to get on track financially or save for a large purchase like a home or new car. It seems that most people who are sucked into this are looking for a way to perpetuate conspicuous consumerism. Maybe we just don't need that much STUFF. Maybe it would behoove people to learn to wait for something, instead of mindlessly scrambling for instant gratification.

Now, before I have people thinking I live in a cardboard box & eat ramen noodles everyday, not so! I just learned how to wait, prioritize & be logical. I always value quality over quantity. Common sense!! While I do agree you need to spend a little money to make money (coupled with HARD WORK), if it seems too good to be true, it usually IS.

                            • So true

I have noticed the exact same thing. And they are so annoying. Because (according to them), they're all smart, brave, & better than the rest of us losers. And the people who work a consistent 9-5 job or career are scared...sorry...losers...according to them. Yeah...ok. Oh yeah...and they are retiring at the age of 23...some within a year. Right.

Although I've personally noticed their "posts" & hype are dying down some. Not completely unfortunately...but it's not with the same vigor...most likely because there's only so long you can keep up a facade. Most don't last a month....even fewer a year, thank goodness.

The humorous "youtube" videos are ALWAYS 100% of the time from people who are sitting on the floor of an apartment....or couch....or chair...or in a car....or at their parent's house. Not talking down on them...but "Hello...why are there NO professional videos...like NONE"??!!

I didn't come hear to bash them. But it's extremely frustrating to be bombarded with someone talking down on you because you won't jump on the next "get rich quick" scheme with them.

If I google Donald Trump's youtube videos...or any other well known successful "business owners", why is there such a stark contrast in the professionalism of the videos?? Where are these WUN professional videos??

How is it not looking good...wake up now has been the top MLM company for the last 6 months, and is ranked the 3rd MLM company for this month...

At this point, nothing is official until they are announced at convention this weekend.

As far as the 7 customers requirement, everything that is heard/seen/typed is all speculation. Like I said, nothing is official until it is announced. Some people say the 7 customers need to pay the $24/mo., others say you can simply have these 7 customers buy a cheap product($1-$5) via the Wake Up Now Marketplace.

                                Only time will tell...
