Hi, I'm a graduate school student who will be employed in a low-paying position until I find work after graduation. I found this website by doing a search for about how to save. I am here to look for ways to save and spend my money better and to keep focused and motivated in my $ goals. This website seems like it will be a great place for me to do this.

Welcome, well spent. I have only been here a few weeks myself, but this is a great place to learn about spending and saving. Wish I had had a site like this to visit when I was young. I would be very rich now. The key is to start saving at a young age like yours. (There were no computers when I was younger, but there were some mutual funds. I just did not know about them.)

Hi, I'm Lemony. I live in Canada with my DH and three kids. We're currently aggressively paying down our debts, and we're going to start investments soon. I've been lurking mostly, and I'm already getting helpful tips from here. Thanks!

I'm enjoying my first week here. Live just north of Seattle, work at home, as a Companion Home Provider to an autistic young man. Been in social services of some kind my whole life, so there was never any extra money. Have honed my skills at being frugal over the years, but have already learned much from my few days here!!
Can't wait to continue with the challenge! To save money, or to make money.........I'm willing to spend WAY more than 10 minutes a day! Lead on............

Hi! I live in Minnesota with my husband of 21 years and 4 daughters (15, 13, almost 11 & 8.) I was an at-home mom with my girls for 11 years, but started working again in 2001 - part-time as a teaching assistant in our school district's preschool. My husband is a security and fire system installer.

Our house is almost paid off, but we still have cc debt that we are chipping away at (I wish I could say we had fun with the money spent, but it was for big car and home repairs and medical related expenses over the years.) We haven't used the card for quite a while, but keep throwing money at it as we are able, some months more and some at minimum.

We've always been pretty frugal, but it continues to be a learning process, that's for sure. Anyway, love this site and how welcoming and sharing everyone is!

I'm not sure how to introduce myself, or rather where to start. I am an old lady, the grandparent of many and the Mom of grown ups and a toddler. I've been savings from necessity my whole life. One of the things I've recently discovered is that parenting is more expensive now than it was 20 some years ago. It is just as much fun though!

Hello Everyone,

I am a student attending school in Tampa, Florida. I will be graduating from college in a few months. I found this site while searching yahoo for financial/savings advice sites. I am pretty pleased with this site as I have already gained a lot of knowledge just from reading some of the articles and browsing the forums. Looking forward to saving more money.
