Was just talking to my co-worker about this entire sexual assault issue about Trump.

Was it locker room talk? ABSOLUTELY it was locker room talk. Did he do any of the things he said? Absolutely he did.

The caveat about this is that rich people have different "locker room" talk than us common folks. I have hung out with older aged multi-millionaires who are just total assholes. My best friend's uncle is worth 50 million. Did he bragged about groping women to us after his New years party the next morning? Absolutely! He even showed us all the naked pictures of girls sitting on old man. This is an entirely different world! You have no idea how often we have to cover for his ass because he banged some young girl in the laundry room. Why did we play ball?...probably the same reason why these girls play ball. We were young and stupid back then.

It honestly is them bragging about the power they possessed over people. And it's extremely grey (to the rich folks) when it comes to consent. Did the girls gave consent?...probably not. Did the rich jerks felt the girls gave consent just by showing up? YES! So why doesn't the girls run away? It's really hard to when you are hanging out with really powerful people. They want to play ball and know they got to join in on this party mostly because of their looks.

Should we expect someone with better character in the white house? YES! There are plenty of rich people who don't do this. It's all about what you would do when you have power. When you are that rich, you can snap your fingers and get whatever you want. Do you spend all your power and money on say charity or creating more jobs? Or are you going to use it to be some asshole who thinks you own people? Honestly if you have someone who spend millions to buy a pageant just so you can hang out, molest, and peep at beautiful girls all day...I think you're more of the latter than the former.

As here defines the difference between many Democrats and Republicans. Republicans tend to primarily (or exclusively) care about what effects them directly, democrats are far more inclined to care about people in general.

I agree, but I think this is just part of the picture. When you look at his comments about women, it is clear he considers women to be objects, not people. Comments he has made I have in mind while typing this:

        - He has stated "his women" are the most beautiful, when comparing himself to other male candidates vying for the Republican nomination.

        - His criticisms of Carly Fiorina were about her physical appearance. If he commented on her political views AT ALL, I missed that.

        - His criticisms of Rosie O'Donnell are that she is fat and ugly.

        - He would "totally date" his own daughter, because she is "hot".

I have a question for fellow republicans.

It is now more and more clear that this country's tax code really favors capitalism. Most successful businesses don't really pay any taxes. The people who pays highest amount of taxes percentage wise are health professionals and lawyers.

With that being said, do you think lowering taxes for the top 1% even more can create any new jobs? I mean people like Trump barely pays any federal income tax already.

If it doesn't get the growth after a round of major tax cuts like Trump's plan, are you guys not worry about going into more debt? As of right now, we still don't have enough revenue to cover cost. I'm not sure if cutting tax for the top or even for the middle or lower class can generate enough growth(considering consumer spending is very healthy...what is a drag on our spending cost is healthcare).

The rest of the world is impacted every day by the decisions made by American politicians. I'd appreciate comments from SA participants on House and Senate seats in their communities. The President doesn't actually get to put their [party's] agenda into legislation unless they are in control of Congress and Senate.

I'm so embarrassed by what American politicians and their supporting talking heads say on every newscast. The rest of the world doesn't get to vote but the warts being revealed are being noted by leaders and populations everywhere. Not even writers of scripted TV reality shows would allow this direction.

Getting co operation from other nations will be more difficult and there is such a huge need to carry on on thousands of issues after November.

When done correctly, 1000 people polled represents 97% of the likely voters of the entire U.S population(3% chance of error). To get this error down to 1% requires 10,000 people polled. So if the polling was done scientifically, 1000-1500 is all you need to pretty much represent the entire U.S population.
So was it a scientific poll or one conducted by CNN (Clinton News Network)??

So my boss and I today were discussing the election and he made a comment that surprised me. He was commenting about the large amount of hate for both of the candidates among the American people. Then he said what might be important to consider is who the VP would be, and how their role could change due to all of the hatred. He made it more clear was he was referring to, but I already knew what he meant. A thought that entered my mind weeks ago and I shared with my wife. Nothing I would advocate no matter who wins, but it wouldn't shock me if it occurred.

I've moved this thread to "Everything Else" since it is not really a financial discussion (although there are certainly financial issues related to the election but that doesn't seem to be where the conversation is going).

Did anyone listen to Trump's, nearly stick to the script, mostly read off the monitor, speech at his rally at Gettysburg today? Is someone brave enough to tell him his 1st 100 day's agenda is impossible to carry out? Limiting terms for elected Congress and Senators is a giant constitutional change and must be approved by those people first. If he deports foreigners, who will build his wall?

Education is a state responsibility. Who will vote the money to pay for all that? Downloading medical care to state level is shorthand for state tax to pay for medical cost including seniors and entitlement. Why can't it be administrated like vehicle insurance?

If he arbitrarily cancels American treaties, commitments and trade agreements all the other countries they will never, ever trust anything from any American government, person or contract. You will be the new China. No contract will be worth the paper it's written on! No verbal agreement will be worth the breath. Everyone is already very edgy about a Trump 'contract,' or should be based on history. Workers not paid, money borrowed, not repaid, unending threats of long, drawn out legal action. Unlikely to pay costs for political campagin unless to his resort, outlets, hotel, yadda yadda...

Since he doesn't pay taxes...millionaires/billionaires don't pay taxes, entitlement eligible don't pay taxes...who does that leave to pay for government, government services, judges, for profit jails/incarnation, roads, bridges, airports, CIA, military etc.

I found myself asking the screen...'where does the money come from' anytime he took a breath or repeated one of his fav mantras...'believe me.' What portfolio will Tiffany Trump get ? She's photogenic...Communications?

He's not spent the millions raised for his run, what is the PE?

Truth is we don't know for sure without seeing his current tax return, yet he likely pays some state taxes, sales tax, and payroll tax, if he doesn't pay federal tax. Congress has allowed this by making these tax laws (also known as loopholes). I'd take advantage of them too, if they were legal.

I say that when I hear Clinton say college is going to be free. Or any other politician promising the entitlements. We are $19 trillion dollars in debt and counting!! Politicians will say anything to get elected.

I am not a Trump supporter but I fail to see the basis for attacking him on this point. If he took advantage of LEGAL tax laws to avoid paying taxes, where is the problem? If you don't like the tax laws, that's fine, but don't blame the people who use them to their full advantage. Blame the people who enacted the laws.

Politicians will say anything to get elected.
Wouldn't it be nice if some day the American public actually understood this statement? The election circus would be forever changed.

Rather than hearing what you "promise" to do, I'd much rather hear what you actually think. What are your personal views on the issues?

Thank you creditcardfree and disneysteve for responding. I wanted to respond but I know I am already viewed by some as a Trump supporter, which I am not.

Really? You had me fooled. Count me among those who viewed you that way. My apologies if that is not the case.

Well I am 100% Anti-Clinton so it does bother me that the media and a lot of voters give her a pass for her crimes and lies.

Ah. That's probably the line of thinking that led me to believe you were supporting Trump since they are the two people running. (Yes, I know there are a couple of independents but I don't count them as viable candidates.)
