Dollar Dig Review – A Straightforward Like and Dislike

August 19, 2022 by Shay Huntley

I love cashback apps. They are essential to my savings strategy when shopping online or in-store. There are several cashback websites on the market such as Rakuten, Ibotta, and Fetch, but there is a relatively newer one on the market. If you’re interested in adding one more cashback app to your repertoire, follow along for my Dollar Dig review.

What is Dollar Dig?

Dollar Dig is a cashback app. You can run purchases from select retailers through its website and Dollar Dig will pay you back.

Once you find the retailer you want, click the link to activate the displayed cash back reward from the site. It will then funnel you to the retailer’s online shop, where you can shop and make purchases normally. Once you checkout and pay, the cashback amount displayed on Dollar Dig, if the terms and conditions are met, will show up a few days later in your account. This process takes up to ten days. You can cash out your profits after meeting the appropriate threshold of $25.

What I Like

The website is simple and easy to follow. The directions to sign up and how to earn cashback are appropriately placed on the home page. There are also sections on the site that include the editor’s pick, the most popular, and the most exclusive cashback opportunities. If you’re looking for deep discounts, those are the sections where you will find them, and they are one of the primary focuses on the homepage. You do have to sign up for an account before trying out the offers, but the process is simple. Also, activating rewards and receiving your cash is relatively straightforward, with no hassle involved.

What I Dislike

While there are several ways to redeem your cashback, they aren’t the most ideal. While most people offer you direct deposit through well-known banks and proxy banks such as Venmo or the right to redeem your rewards as a gift card, Dollar Dig does not have all those options. Right now, your best bet is to receive a PayPal deposit, otherwise, you have to wait for a paper check in the mail or go through a little-known site called Dwolla. The website also feels very rudimentary. With that being said, all the elements of a proper cashback website are present. The site is decorated in fun colors as well.
