Black Friday Deals 2019

November 27, 2019 by Tamila McDonald

black friday deals

In 2019, Black Friday is on November 29. It’s one of the biggest shopping days of the year thanks to the plethora of discounts offered by retailers. But finding the best deals isn’t always easy, simply because there are so many available. If you are shopping this Black Friday, here’s a look at some of the massive sales that are worth exploring.

Amazon

Amazon has products listed in nearly every shopping category imaginable. The retailer’s HoliDeals section includes items from essentially everyone, so practically any shopper could likely find a discount that piques there interest.

If you’re interested in Amazon Echo products, you’ll find a variety of stellar discounts. The Echo Show 8 is $30 off while the First TV Stick 4K and Echo Dot bundle is more than 50 percent off, coming in at just $47. For those who are curious about a newer product, the Amazon Echo Auto goes on sale on Thanksgiving day with a price tag of just $30.

Plenty of other Amazon products will also be included in the HoliDeals event. You’ll find discounts on Fire edition televisions and Kindles, including the all-new Kindle Oasis and Kindle Kids Edition. Plus, price reductions on a range of other products will also roll in and out during the event, and many of them won’t be revealed until their dates are close.

Walmart Black Friday Deals

Walmart is planning a massive sale for Black Friday and published the details early to help shoppers plan for the event. There are discounts in a variety of categories, so nearly any customer could find something they’d want at an exceptional price.

Since electronics are a popular Black Friday shopping category, Walmart has placed a variety of products on sale. An onn. 50-inch 4K television will be available for just $148, while an onn. 40-inch 2K television will only cost $98. If you’re looking for something bigger, a 65-inch 4K by Philips is a special buy with a price tag of just $278. There are more televisions deals too, so you might want to check out the ad if those won’t meet your needs.

A few Apple products, including an iPad, iPhone 6S, Apple Watch, and AirPods, are also on sale on Black Friday. Gamers can find a PS4 bundle for under $200, and the Oculus Go is $50 off, coming in at $149. Gaming laptops, tablets, printers, smart home devices, and even security systems are also on the discount list.

Along with other electronics deals, there are also price reductions on select toys, vinyl albums, movies, television shows, Christmas décor, home goods, small appliances, apparel, and more. Just be aware that competition can be fierce, and you might not be able to snag every deal, so it’s wise to plan ahead for your trip.

It’s important to note that Walmart’s sale actually starts before Black Friday. You can score these deals after 10:00 pm ET on Wednesday, November 27, if you shop online. If you’d rather by in-store, the discounts are available after 6:00 pm local time on Thanksgiving, November 28.

Target

Target’s Black Friday deals ad flyer includes discounts in essentially every shopping category the retailer has to offer. There’s a 65-inch Element Roku TV 4K television for just $280, a selection of video games at 50 percent off, and a $170 discount on certain Beats headphones. Some Apple Watches, iPads, and AirPods are included in the sale, too, along with Google Home devices, printers, laptops, and more.

On the home side, you can get your hands on an Instant Pot for just $65 or a Roomba 675 for under $200. You’ll also find a range of books, movies, television shows, and video games available for much less than usual. When it comes to kids’ toys, there are options for every age group. Certain board games are 50 percent off, and a Disney’s Frozen II Olaf plush is as well.

That’s just a small part of what you’ll find in Target’s Black Friday sale. However, like many other major retailers, this sale actually starts on Thursday at 5:00 pm.

Best Buy

An electronics mecca, Best Buy’s Black Friday sale ad is chocked full of amazing deals. You can get $350 off a 70-inch or 75-inch 4K Samsung television if you’re looking for a large screen. If a 58-inch TV is big enough, there’s an Insignia Fire TV Edition 4K option for less than $200.

If you’re looking for Apple products, you’ll find major price reductions on iPads, iMacs, and MacBooks. Gamers can get an Xbox One X 1TB bundle for just $350. A handful of laptops are available for $170 to $360 below the usual sale price, and there’s a Canon DSLR camera kit – which includes the body and two lenses – for under $700.

Plus, tons of games, movies, and television shows are on sale. You’ll also find price reductions on select smart home devices and digital assistants, such as the Amazon Echo Show 5.

Doors open for this Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving at 5:00 pm. As a result, if you want some of the items on deep discount, you might have to shop on Thursday instead.

Costco

If you’re looking for a big sale that doesn’t start in-stores until Black Friday, Costco is a great option. All of the warehouse stores close for Thanksgiving, so you won’t have to shop until Black Friday to potentially get your hands on the best discounts (unless you decide to handle your purchase online instead).

The Costco Black Friday sale ad includes a lot of products. Select Dyson vacuums are $100+ off, and certain laptops are $100 to $300 less than usual. You can get a TCL 65-inch 4K television for under $600 while a 40-inch Visio 4K TV is less than $200. There are also discounts on other electronics, including everything from gaming systems to security cameras. Plus, you’ll find price reductions on apparel, home décor, jewelry, and even select K-cups.

While the in-store sale at Costco doesn’t start until Black Friday, the discounts are available online starting on Thursday, November 28. If you’d rather shop from home, you can actually get started on Thanksgiving.

Macy’s

Thanks to its Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy’s has always been associated with this time of year. Plus, it’s Black Friday sales catalog is practically legendary, featuring 40-pages of deals in 2019. Select shoes are 40 percent off, and you can find certain designer handbags for 50 percent below their usual retail price. If you want high-quality sheets for less, there’s a 1200-thread count option that usually retails for up to $230 available for just $30; that’s up to $200 in savings.

Discounts can be found throughout the store, including in the various apparel sections and the jewelry counters. Plus, select small appliances are just $20 in-store. But, if you mail in the rebate, they end up only costing you $8.

The doorbusters actually go on sale on Thanksgiving. Exactly when can vary by store, so you need to check with your local Macy’s if you want to make sure you are there when the door opens.

JCPenney

JCPenney is known for offering some of the largest discounts around on Black Friday. In the sale ad, you can find comforter sets for $20 to $30. Plus, there are significant price reductions on appliances and apparel. Additionally, certain Disney toys are 50 percent off, making it a great option for those who want to get presents for young kids.

It’s also important to note that JCPenney stores open their doors for the sale earlier than nearly every other retailer. It actually begins at 2:00 pm on Thanksgiving, so you might have to start shopping earlier than you planned if you want to score some of these deals. While that may sound like a sacrifice, it could be worth it. The first customers in line get free coupons worth up to $500 off their purchase. With an offer like that, don’t be surprised if some shoppers start camping out well before the sale.

Kohl’s

Not only does Kohl’s have some great deals, but they also have a coupon in the sales circular that gets you an additional 15 percent off your purchase. Inside the flyer, you’ll find over 60 pages of deals. Select board games are 50 percent off, and certain diamond rings or pendants (that usually retail for $205) are just $40 before you use the coupon.

If you want an Instant Pot, you can get one for just $68 with the coupon. There is also an Amazon Echo Show 5 for only $50 and a Canon DSLR bundle for under $400. Plus, you’ll find price reductions on gaming consoles, apparel, holiday and home décor, luggage, and more.

Kohl’s technically launched their sale online on Monday, November 25, though the doorbusters won’t be available online until 12:01 am CT on Thanksgiving. However, in-store discounts won’t start until 5:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day.
