I'm a little worried as this will be the first time she has had anything more than a blood test, but I'm sure it will be fine.
I don't think that could even be considered a splurge in the least. It sounds painful and not anything I would want to be awake for! I remember my best friend in junior high had to have a tooth that was still in her gums behind her two front teeth removed. Cutting, digging, etc. is not a fun experience. Can't remember yet if this is about to happen or hasn't happened yet. be sure to have some soft foods in the house for her. When I had a tooth extraction several years ago but was having trouble eating and the thought of mashed potatoes just wouldn't leave my head. My cleaning lady was there the next day and I asked her if she would peel a pan of potatoes for me. Gracious lady that she is, she did it no problem. She is a real blessing in my life.

Anyways I would be sure to have ice cream, yogurts, mashed potato makings, pudding etc. in case she can't chew after the fact.

My bag that I use every day was literally falling apart. I spent $270 on a new purse that was made ethically of VERY high quality materials. It was REALLY hard to spend that much money but I know it will last me for years to come and it was made by a local company that uses ethically sourced materials. I don't regret the purchase one bit!

Just made it 3 day's ago. To bad I'd be ripped to shreds if I admitted what I bought on a financial forum though.

I stopped liking Vera Bradley fabric bags but never unsubscribed to their email. I got one offering 50% off the clearance prices and I peeked and found two really different leather bags that I liked a lot. Both were originally $300 (like anyone ever paid that price), I paid $50 and $70. Once they came, they were really nice leather bags totally worth what I had spent. This was a huge splurge for me on my income so I used money I had been gifted at Christmas. This was my first splurge in a really long time and man, it felt good.

Which brand? I'm kind of a make up junkie. I got great results from a $13 bottle of 20% glycolic acid and Olay regenerist, but I prefer using Murad or Lancome for deeper wrinkles.

New furniture. Our aging recliner was completely on it's last leg. The couch that matched it was in decent shape.

Our original intention was just to replace the recliner, but as we continued to look and price out furniture we ended up purchasing a matching recliner and couch. Splurged a bit for the power headrest etc. Gave our old couch to my brother-in-law so was able to re-purpose it.

Picked up a real sharp Sako .22 LR bolt action rifle with Leupold optics last week. No, it won't do anything a $300 Ruger won't due but it's a whole lot better looking and I just happen to like it.

                          Vichy.

I tried a new skincare routine, for my "mature" skin. I should add that I am happy with the new cleanser I'm trying, Pond's Cold Cream cleanser (a classic). I like the way it works and it is reasonably priced.

                          Thank you for your suggestions.

                            nice pickup!

I have some vintage 22 bolt actions, a ruger 10-22, and a few browning s-22s. Despite some of them being 60-100 years old, the bolt actions have better accuracy than the much newer semi autos. It's pretty impressive.

Yes, sounds like a good buy. A couple of years back I picked up a Ruger AR556, I feel a bit guilty about it.

Owning firearms is terrible from a personal finance perspective. People typically buy accessories, safety equipment, more ammunition, etc., etc. Plus there are range fees or the additional costs of gas to get someplace safe to shoot.

Its not an inexpensive hobby by any means.

Most hobbies aren't. Nothing to feel guilty as long as it's all part of an overall plan and it fits in your budget. Obviously, if you are neglecting other more important things to spend on your hobby, that's a problem.
