I grew up reading comics, particularly X-Men and their various teams. However, the character Cypher was from New Mutants, which I never really got into. Growing up I thought the character was lame, as he was a mutant with the abilities to basically understand and communicate with all kinds of languages and decipher codes. But I always thought the name sounded cool.

While I just added the "1" at the end, sometimes I do "01" for other logins in reference to binary code. My friends always thought the name originally referenced Cypher from the Matrix, but that was more of a coincidence.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

Mine comes from where I was located when I found this site. COB (contingency operating base Speicher is located near Tikrit, Iraq where I was working as a civilian contractor at the time. The base was returned to Iraq in 2011. I have gotten a lot of good and useful advice from this forum, thanks to all of you here!

My nickname in high school- it's a twist on my maiden name. Reminds me of when I was young and FREE (I had quite a bit of fun in high school)

Mine is an old pet name from a former boyfriend, I used it for several screen names that i set up while we were together since it included the often required numeral as well.

Eagle - my favorite bird and it's an easy login to remember. The eagle is majestic and powerful.

It reminds me of Isaiah 40:31:

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Milly isn't actually my name. It isn't Emily, Amelia, or Camilla either (although eventually we hope to name a baby girl Amelia and call her Milly). Milly is a somewhat random childhood nickname that took on its own persona in College.

One of my friends who knew me as a kid went with me to college introduced me as Milly to a group that later became my core social group and best friends. As a result, that specific group of college friends know me as Milly. For a few years, Milly was like my show name. "Milly" was the confident, leader, funny, clever person that could conquer the world because that is how I felt with those friends.

So when I sign as "Milly" on my blog, that is the powerful version of myself.

need I explain? I back when I signed on i was living what I considered almost large. 10 years later I've honestly surpassed insanely. Not quite what I expected. Haven't changed much but certain things are a little bit more and that's where the large is

My autistic son has a habit for bestowing nicknames on people that he really likes or dislikes. People he is neutral about don't get one. So somewhere along the line he started calling me GaileteBob. I Got rid of the bob part and started using the Gailete as I believe there is no one else named Gailete in the world. At least I haven't run into them so it made it easier to use as a screen name than my real name. of course, he informed me that I spelled it wrong and I should have spelled it Gailette. I'm not that good of speller and he is an excellent speller, but at this point the Gailete with one T sticks.
