Trump shows his disgust towards it and talks about how it is unsustainable. I much rather have someone like Trump who incessantly talks about than the others who do not talk about it possibly will add more to it.
I feel he only uses our national debt as a fear mongering tactic. It shows how much trouble America is in thanks to the establishment politicians, and how incompetent our current president is.

Truth is, our national debt is not really a big deal. We did not borrow everything from China(like how they want you to believe), because we borrowed MOST of the money from ourselves. It's kind of like how Trump is funding his campaign, by giving himself a campaign loan. At the end of the day, we need to pay ourselves back and most of the interest is going to ourselves(imagine borrowing from your 401k for a house). So no, the U.S is not going to become Greece or anything anytime soon.

Yeah, what we need to do is increase the level of entitlement spending and cut the defense budget. That will solve all our problems.

Entitlement = medicare/social security then sure cut it. But I notice that NOT ONE CANDIDATE has suggested this or how to reform both programs. Funny our BIGGEST entitlement programs and it's a nuclear bomb for both parties to talk about.

I'm for single payer health care, free education, and cutting defense. But I don't think single payer or free education or cutting defense spending is the only thing that needs to be looked at.

It's just the truth that the two biggest budget busters medicare and SS can't be touched. If conservatives are all about less government then why not suggest cutting both programs? I wonder what would happen to all middle/lower middle class poor republican conservatives if that was the true platform run?

They can't be cut. But we shouldn't add to the problem by adding more entitlement programs.

            I do not support Trump.

Sanders is a loser supported by "folks" who want free stuff.

But I will go for Hillary over Trump. She wasn't bad in the debates and she looked reasonable next to that loony toons Sanders.

I voted for Rubio in the primary. Not my first choice but whatever, better than any of the other loony toons running.

From the primary results, looks like, so far, most people agree with me about what a kook Sanders is. Sanders is a nutjob candidate IMO.

                Regarding "Free Education".
We already have that. 12 Years plus kindergarten, and all you constantly hear how screwed up that system is.

It's not even free, it's a lie told by Bernie.

There's no such thing as free.

Good point, public education certainly isn't "FREE".
I think 60-70% of my county property taxes go to the local school system which we don't have any children in.

Our property tax bill is $8,687.97 for 2016.

                          $3,179.46 goes to "local schools".

We don't have any children in school, either. If it's going to teachers and schools educating children to be smarter than people voting for people like Trump, every last penny is worth it!

Part of me believes the current Republican party will be all but a memory in just two decades. And I consider my political views to be pretty conservative.

Not a Trump fan, but his supporters are WAYYYY smarter than Sanders supporters, who are so unutterably stupid they think that something is "free" because it's not paid for on delivery.

                            Truly just dumb, stupid people.

We can argue all day about which side is more stupid, but spending money is the least of my worries as a voter, and, as we know in business, sometimes money has to be borrowed to see a return on investment later. If it helps us become #1 in education again, or even in healthcare, it was worth it.

I'd take Kasich over any of the other clowns. Trump, though, absolutely unfit to be the leader of this nation.

I remember reading online that the US actually spends more per pupil than any nation other than South Korea on education. Will increasing funding really have any more impact? Doubt it.
