With Independence Day falling on a Saturday this year many places are observing the holiday and shutting down for business on Friday, July 3rd. Walmart actually only closes their doors once a year and that is for Christmas. As you may or may not know, Walmart is even open throughout portions of the day like Thanksgiving so they can be prepared for those deal-finding Black Friday shoppers.
It’s important to note that while Walmart is open on the 4th of July, Walmart chain stores may not be open like Sam’s Club, for instance.

This could also be a huge sigh of relief for those shoppers who may not be familiar with the store layout. Instead of having to ask a store associate where something is available, you can just look by the registers, front of store, or aisle dedicated to Independence Day and be on your way.
