  • Financial Milestone

I reviewed my accounts for February and realized that my brokerage account rolled over into 7-figure territory.
Adding in our real estate portfolio, and we are approaching a $2 million-dollar net worth.

    I'm 47, wife is 51
    Mortgage is our only debt.
$140K balance, 12.5 years remaining on the note.

Congratulations BJ - that's wonderful news. It just goes to show, slow and steady really does win the personal finance race.

Congratulations! Do you have a target retirement date when you'll start living off your net worth?

                Nothing set in stone.
We both enjoy our careers, but at some point, the math is going to tell us that we can make more money staying home than by going to work.

BJ - getting there would be awesome. You would have achieved financial independence.
