Wow. That's alot of red flags to all show up just weeks after getting into town & the job. Good luck getting a good job & place to move into, and quickly!
When it comes time for him to leave this job, he should be careful not to burn bridges and spike the well -- just explain that it hasn't worked out for you both, and you need to move on so that he can find someone who will fit better into his business. Knowing that he's working with the luxury car market, relationships count for alot, and it would be better not to immediately make an "enemy" in the new town. And definitely get the new job/house lined up & finalized before he actually quits.

We moved into a place that pretty much cost as much as we were spending on rent before we moved to Atlanta. It is in a great community with great people and have already made a number of new friends. We live on the 26th floor and have a fantastic view. The condos have a full gym, pool, free coffee in the mornings, laundry on-site, among other amenities. We could have moved back to Charlotte to stay with family and get something else figured out but both of us felt we landed in Atlanta for a reason and wanted to see it out. It has turned out to be great!Originally posted by Petunia 100 View Post
So, how did things end up? You moved elsewhere, I take it? Is your boyfriend still working for the company? Is it going OK?
The shop he was out ended up going out of business and was bought out by another company - someone my husband knew from Charlotte. So, he was able to get in there pretty effortlessly and is looking to be promoted to shop foreman before the end of the year (with a good pay bump).

* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.
