Or you could argue the stock market just doesnt make sense. Its all a crapshoot and its not based on anything anymore.

    • I'm not concerned, and actually had a limit order for 20 more shares trigger this morning. At some point, I'll probably offload some of the shares I bought at higher levels ($120-$200/sh) just for TLH... But otherwise, I'm confident that the company will continue to grow in popularity and use, eventually leading to a strong return of higher values.

      • This is why I am an index investor. No way I could hold onto a stock that has lost 85%. I would buy high and sell low every time. Too emotional.

Same - its depressing watching a stock continually lose money like this. I gotta hand it to Singuy - he seems to have nerves of steel.

Perspective & patience are valuable in any form of down or turbulent market.

            • Hope everyone is loading up since it's down 25% today. $30 seems like a good deal.

I just had a buy order go through at $29.99/sh, but I'm sorely tempted to jump on another batch of shares.

I've had alot of other purchases go through today as well (4 more, so far). Wildly frothy market these last few weeks.

I can't decide. I don't necessarily want more but at this price, I think it's a pretty safe bet. Plus it would lower my overall cost basis on the shares I've already got.

A 25% drop driven by a decreased future-revenues outlook? Seems wildly overblown, especially given that the company's actual earnings were dramatically better than expected. I think what happened was a few bigger investors jumped ship, which led the institutional algorithms to dump it, which caused a negative cascade effect. I'm forecasting at least +10% tomorrow. It's just a super frothy stock.

as of now your 10% bounce today is holding true up to 10:30am. (showing up 9% so far!)

*indifferent if I want to buy more of this @ this seemingly lower-risk price. but likely would just toss into VTI and call it a day.

                      • I too have been buying on the way down. I last bought at $50. I bought a $50 before, $80, $100, $200, $180, $150, etc. I've lost so much money on EVERYTHING. it's not just FVRR. I will also say i just know a lot of people now making money on FVRR. So I'm still thinking it's going to be how we work.

Nice to have called it! Up 13% at 3:45pm ET... Not a full recovery to previous days by any stretch, but not surprising that some of the over-selling would bounce back.

                          • A while ago (don't recall when), I dumped all but 31 shares of FVRR at $222. I also dumped all but 7 shares of SHOP at around $750. Both stock traded at very close to their lowest 52 week range today so I picked a few shares. I'm very nervous about TSLA. I think Elon & Cathy dumping millions of it has had / will have adverse effects on it in the near term when we need the money. I'm nervous because I hold some in DD's Coverdell & she needs it when she transfers to Uni soon.

The housing market mortgage rate really pisses me off. The rise in interest rate means we're totally priced out even in so-called "less desirable" areas because home prices have not come down with the rising rates. Feels like we just cannot win.

We cannot sell anything and transform paper losses into real losses. It's enormously upsetting though to see the sea of red just as our family is on the cusp of major changes - a kid going to Uni, and we finally ready to move. FOL.

sorry to hear. Usually money needed in x years shouldn’t be invested. Easier said than done.

Yes. The downpayment & emergency savings are in plain savings a/cs. The problem is increasing mortgage ratee meand we still cannot afford a home!

Unfortunately, I did not liquidate DD's Coverdell completely & held on to her TSLA shares. I expected her to take an extra year to transfer, but she's ready to transfer now. In hindsight, I should have nuked all her stock holdings and gone cash when she was a sophomore in high school but we would have missed our on the massive rally since! Selling now just sucks!
