Hopefully getting close to a SUNEQ bounce... if they really let it go it could really get moving. Anyway, I don't plan on holding it for more than another 2 weeks most likely.

Just looked at 2016 YTD trading performance (as of May 1), +30% in the Etrade account, +36% in the SEP-IRA (Bofa/Merrill)... some of the gains came from the bio bounce since february though, so we shall see if it continues.

      • Added another 460k shares SUNEQ at 0.224 ish... gonna hold PTX for a few days too probably.

        • Annoying that PTX got rejected from 1.25 (for now) and SUNEQ got rejected (hopefully for now) from 0.25. Up on both but both are super-annoying. PTX has earnings pre-market on cinco de mayo... deciding if I want to hold through that.

SUNEQ has a hearing on may 10th... we'll see if I decide to hold through that or take my profits.

I'd love to see the market pull back substantially (DOW maybe 16,000?) over the next 3-6 months. Not saying its gonna happen but since IBB seems to not have been able to break out through that 285 point and hold above it, hopefully the bios get crushed back down and I can rebuy a bunch of them.

As I said above (twice) was watching this 285 IBB point... looks like it was soundly rejected... the bios had run up too much anyway. Waiting for them to come back to my buy points.

PTX has earnings tomorrow morning, gonna gamble with 135k shares. We shall see what SAC and the media does. Also sold 400k shares of SUNEQ at the 0.23-ish point, made 15K$ from my 0.207 buys. Still holding way more than that though.

Also starting to wonder what is taking TTPH so long. Last sold at 5.40 ish... now at 4.9's or so, and they commented on the FDA today in their earnings call. This is taking way too long, starting to wonder if the FDA is just gonna reject them outright and make them run another trial. No position here.

"We have remained in dialogue with the FDA this year regarding next steps for IV eravacycline, our lead antibiotic candidate for the treatment of patients with serious infections, particularly those caused by difficult-to-treat Gram-negative bacteria," said Guy Macdonald, Tetraphase's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We expect to receive regulatory guidance from the FDA this quarter and look forward to providing an update once we have more clarity.

            • You seem like you know what you are doing, but I have one question. Why are you using an eTrade account and not something like Robinhood that charges no trading fees/commissions? I can only assume it doesnt matter when we are talking about $100k+ transactions, IDK which is partially why I am asking. But still, if you are trading and in/out 100 times a year at $7-10/pop thats $1400-2000 in commissions.
For me, I just have <$10K in an account to keep me amused during slow days at the office. Ok if I lose it all to bad trades, but not from getting nickle and dime'ed on commissions. Entirely different situation than yours, and you probably need a lot more bells and whistles that eTrade may provide.
Likely a silly question, but just curious.

              • Haven't sold yet, but down about 40c/share = about 52,000$ on the PTX purchase. Ouch. Learned a lesson... don't trade with the masses. SAC had bought... which meant a ton of followers followed him in, and got spooked with todays earnings. Would be tempting to average down, but that breaks one of the primary rules of trading.

SAC may be holding onto this position for a longer term trade... but the huge debt of 300M$ + is worrying me. I'll have to figure out what to do here.

                • Took a loss of about 60K$? on PTX... then had to buy a house so I liquidated a bunch of stocks to get 400K$ to put as a downpayment. Escrow paperwork is such a pain!!!

Anyway, sitting on my SUNEQ position, traded around, got an average cost of ~17c, we shall see what happens in the BK proceedings. There is fear of the creditors voting for liquidation instead of proceeding in Ch11, but Judge Bernstein did tell interested parties to make their arguments as to why a equity committee would not be necessary (on docket 356). The date of that hearing is June 7th, should be an interesting day.

I'm probably going to play this one as an all or nothing play... Either it goes to perhaps 80c-1$ if an equity committee is formed, OR it goes to like 1c in chapter 7. Either outcome could happen at any time, this is money I can afford to lose now that I liquidated a bunch of stocks to put towards a downpayment.
