you can have firearms and a gun licence but there are strict rules...you can't carry them on you or in your car...unless your police or security (some) or if you live in the country on your land...they may seem lax but they aren't to us...it has been years since the gun laws came in and most handed them in...you can still go to a shooting range etc...but owning them is a whole different story

Mumof2, imagine having to add to your list of parental concerns the question of whether your child was going to play at a friend's house whose parents might not have secured their guns and ammuntion.

Hawaii is super liberal, yet just the number of unregistered guns here (bought before registration restrictions came out) is more than the number of residents. I think close to 50% of households have at least one firearm.

you should get HP IMO if this is for self defense. FMJ for practice.

James California is rip off with everything (ie, gasoline, housing, 10% sales tax, etc). This Fiocchi 200 rounds was a shocker but I paid for it because I neede it.

@QMM - ouch man, $111.32 is a lot for three boxes of pistol ammo.

At this point I believe in what Warren Buffet has to say, which is basically that America has been through a great depression, two world wars, and the turmoil of the 1960s. We'll make it through this as well.
What I think is a danger at this point is focusing too much on the turmoil and not enough on how to build wealth or better utilize existing opportunities. For example, interest rates are at historic lows, isn't now a good time to think about refinancing? Are there any business that have gone under which could be acquired and restarted? What commodities are people going to need in the future?
The nicest gun in my collection is one of these. Browning side by side, double trigger. Expensive when released, so very limited in production.
