Did you do your 2020 census?
I figure it is financially related because:
"Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year."

I almost forgot to do ours until I saw a reminder online yesterday. It's not too late to respond.

I appreciate that they made it easy to do online. I took care of it weeks ago... Our code came in the mail, and it took less than 10 min.

Don't recall getting anything. Probably thought it was junk mail and threw it out.

Don't worry, they'll send you about a dozen reminder letters too. Pretty sure I've seen 2-3 so far, even after doing it online.

Finally did mine late last week just to get them off my back. I still need to get my cars to honda and toyota dealerships for airbag recalls. I think I'm on double digits for those notices.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

Yep. I did it as soon as the first notice came. We've already gotten at least one more, maybe two.

It looks like they have an option to fill out the questionnaire if you did not receive a code.

Mine is still sitting on the counter.
I'll fill it out over the weekend.

FYI: if you don't want to fill part of it out, you can hit "next" without filling it. It will error and tell you to fill that part out. Then, hit "next" again and it will continue on.

This is a hard one for me because I've done some family history research and I absolutely love the snippets of my grandparent's lives I can gather from a census. On the other hand, censuses are public records and I don't really want to put any more information out there.

Any more information? It's only name, age, and racial/ethnic background (or something like that). You're not really putting much of anything out there that isn't already easily accessible. Birth records are already all public record anyway.

I'm dubious about that statement, since you cannot just get any random person's birth certificate for about 100 years after the birth date.

The questions are extremely vague. Facebook and Google and YouTube and at least a dozen other companies already have far more personal data on you than what the census asks for.

                            After 72 years.

and I don't really want to put any more information out there.
What specifically that's on the Census form are you worried about them finding out about you?

Yep I did it when I got it. BUT there is a question, where will you be living April 1, 2020. I have 2 kids away at college. When I hit the help it said to not count college kids if they weren't living in my house 4/1/20, so I didn't. It also said they were to be counted at their address as of 4/1/20.

Then I kept asking my college kids, did you get a census in the mail? They keep saying no. I should've just put them on mine! I did find a link to fill it out on line and sent it to them, there is a pick if you don't have a code so you can fill it out.

But I really feel I should've put them on mine, dang it. They will both probably be coming back home to live in July so why does it matter where they lived on April 1st?
