Cheap goods (dollar stores, WalMart, Target, etc.) would disappear if manufacturing came back to the US because our wages are far higher, even our minimum wage. Prices for everything would go up.

That isnt necessarily a bad thing. We love cheap goods but cant even imagine the destruction that is taking place in china at the moment. Theres a reason everyone wears face masks when they go outside in china...the air is that polluted because there are no environmental regulations. Thats how you keep costs down...you just pour toxic sludge in the gutter and whatever happens...happens.

The one thing I hate about republicans is how they complain about alternate energy and the EPA being so restrictive. I wish we could fly those idiots to a heavily polluted area and let them stay there for a couple months. They're so stuck in their ways that their minds probably wouldnt be changed...but at the very least it may shave some years off their lives

Well what we do know is fake news is real...and its growing. Any news outlet that reported/commented on the entire trump golden shower thing is discredited. It was fake news started by someone on 4chan.

I was on metro this morning and there were quite a few trump supporters headed to the city. Lot of people wearing "make america great again" and a lot of women wearing trump pins. Thankfully I was able to get a seat...that was my only concern.

Okay there's a difference between reporting a rumor someone on tweeter said (Trump retweeting a 16 yo) vs official CIA documents given to the president/president elect/members of congress. If pissgate is part of the CIA document, then it can be reported as unverified claims...There's nothing fake about reporting that the CIA is investigating pissgate. Pizzagate was fake news...Info wars is nothing but a bunch of opinions and conspiracy from one guy thinking outside of the box. Reporting on those things..a bunch of "what ifs"...like how there are MILLIONS of illegal voters in Cali...is made up nonsense with no official supported document. Hey if there's a CIA/FBI investigation on millions of illegal voters in Cali voting..then reporting on it is not some made up nonsense.

If Trump supporters and Trump start labeling every wrong doing during his presidency as fake news (polls are fake news because it doesn't show me in a favorable light!)...then that's a slippery slope to fascism.

Corporate sent out an e-mail letting the staff know about a planned protest in some of the cities we have offices in. Their sobfest doesn't bother me a single bit, as long as they aren't blocking the street I am driving on.

Well, one thing I can say is I have no idea what is going to happen over the next 4 years.

I was talking to my wife while Trump was being sworn in and I thought it would be hilarious if Trump started his speech with "Where's that football? I need to nuke someone now!"

I think I'll establish a new investing strategy. I'll call it the Tweet investment strategy. Buy and hold large cap stocks of a particular company after it drops 3-4% after a Trump tweet.
