It makes me sick that someone so sexist, racist, and utterly reactive could win.

I'm no fan of Hillary, but Trump disgusts me. I think any woman who voted for him should be deeply ashamed. He has no respect for anyone, and a pretty clear track record of bad business.

I think it's disgusting that he won, and yet, when it came up in conversation in past weeks, my opinion was that you should never underestimate just how malleable the flyover states are. I didn't want to be right about that, but grew up there, so I had a feeling. So I'll just put my head down and keep on keeping on. Seems to be a good year for that anyhow. Or four years.

It's amazing really, that he managed to get the support of the exact people he is most likely to screw over.

I read an article last week about women being told how they should feel about his comments and how they would be betraying all women for supporting him. There were several well articulated quotes from women that were interviewed for the article. If I stumble upon it again, I will post it.

Of course they hope to see a woman become President someday, but for THEIR reasons they did not support Clinton.

I heard a similar sentiment last night from a black gentleman on the panel who commented that black people didn't like to be told they were betraying their race if they didn't vote a particular way.

How people decide to vote is their individual right. You should be deeply ashamed for casting shame on them for choosing to exercise it they way they please.

Ok, sure, whatever. In fact, I AM the one who is deeply ashamed. Ashamed to share a country with people who would choose to elect him. It's humiliating. I hope america works hard to right this wrong.

We finally arrived at the timeline of Idiocracy, we elected a tv star as a president. Time to water my lawn with Gatorade...because it has electrolytes.

I'm far more concerned about the effect this will have on the Supreme Court than I am about who sits in the Oval Office. There has been tremendous progress in recent years that will now be threatened. Women's rights, reproductive rights, LGBT rights, immigration policy, the list goes on and on. Yes I'm concerned about the financial fall out but I trust that long term that will correct itself. It's the legal stuff that will be far harder to fix.
Reproductive rights, as in murdering the unborn? Their lives matter, too. Maybe we might see someone be the voice for them, and grant them the right to be Americans, too.

Do like the various Hollywood celebs are doing: Pack up and leave. It is ironic that liberals, who brag about tolerance as if it is some sort of exclusive badge they wear, now have grown suddenly intolerant. Meanwhile, the uneducated, bigoted, racist, narrow-minded folk have been tolerating 8 laborious years of the most liberal governance in our nation's history.

Enough of your tolerance fraud. The people have spoken. Deal with it.

                59,611,678 people to be exact

I wonder how many of your clients are among those 59.6 million?

Also, I feel it is inappropriate to edit someone's post without disclosing it, so I for full disclosure I capitalized America for you.

I'm looking forward to 4 years of saying "Merry Christmas" again without some smug lib shaming me for it.

Oh, for goodness' sake. What circles do you run in that include people who shame you? And why would that be different with a new administration?

I wasn't making a statement about the post that YOU edited. I was making it known that I was editing YOUR post to capitalize America for you. The country you are ashamed to live does not belong in lowercase.

Here is the article I was referring to, along with one of the quotes.

“I would absolutely love to have a woman president, just not Hillary Clinton,” said Elisa Seiple, a 28-year-old photographer from Easton, Pa. A mother of two young children, she said abortion was an important issue for her and made for an easy choice between the two candidates.

“It’s simple – she doesn’t share any of the same core values that I share, and I couldn’t support someone like that,” she said.

The stock market didn't seem to care much about who got elected. At least not today.
