  • I could go spray CRACKER on my car and then report the crime in the morning. Your 1 of 10 estimate is nothing more than an assumption.

And you are welcome to accuse me of anything you want. I am not belittling anything. I do not condone racism or bigotry.

You know if Trump goes on stage and denounce bigotry and hate LOUD and CLEAR tomorrow, you can spray paint your car all you want and no one is going to care. In fact it wouldn't even make sense.

Just think if Trump was Reagan with a zero bigotry tolerance and you spray painted your car tomorrow with "Reagan 2016"..and lets say you are pretending to be black...people will see that picture and be like "huh he must really like Reagan"..NOT "that looks like a hate crime". If you spray painted "F U NiGxxx Reagan 2016!"..people would be like.."that doesn't even make sense. "

Singuy, you could write a speech for Trump to read live on CNN and it isn't going to make a bit of difference. You will still have professional protestors and the media trying to rile things up.

          And you know this because?????

I see the media giving him brownie points for his acceptance speech and his meeting today with Obama because of what he said.

It was an opinion. Just like in your opinion you believe it would make the difference.

And I have seen more negative stories about Trump today than positive.

Even if it makes no difference, it's still the right thing to do. If he whole heartily denounce the alt right, the KKK, and any racist behavior by saying "there's no place for this type of behavior here in the U.S..not on my watch"... I believe it'll help somewhat. Who knows, maybe the train has already left so doing anything now is futile.

              • Trump is now the poster child for the KKK...sigh...

Agreed. It's the same idiots who wreak havoc after a sports championship. Any excuse for bad behavior.

                  • I've meet two secret trump supporters. Two different women who were embarrassed to admit they voted for trump and would have lied or not answered pollsters. I guess we know now how he won and why polling was so off.

Embarrassed or afraid? I believe there can be a difference between a Trump supporter and a Trump voter. There were several polls done prior to the election where people said they were casting their vote AGAINST a candidate.

                      • Seems every time there's a major political shift in the White House at least one third of Americans think "the Anti-Christ" was elected, one third of Americans think "the Savior" was elected, and one third of Americans fall somewhere in-between. If your candidate won or lost consider this election with a grain of salt. Let's focus on respecting each other, being kind to one another, and moving forward together.

Also keep in mind that only about 25% of registered voters voted for Trump. About 25% voted for Clinton. And about 47% didn't vote at all.

                          • I really think Trump (or anti-Clinton) supporters were more afraid than embarrassed. Or people just don't want to announce who they are voting for. I'm not that old (so I tell myself) and I remember when people had an absolute fit when a local theater offered red or blue straws for your drinks during the elections. People from both sides were screaming that it was nobody's business who they were voting for and they demanded regular straws. I'm still that way, as is most of my family. A pollster called my house early on to ask who I was voting for. My answer was, "Many clowns will compete, but only one clown will win." I was never called again.

                              Love it!

A few years ago, we were in D.C. and my daughter bought a button in a gift shop that says: "Vote for the millionaire liar of your choice."

The don't ask don't tell was definitely the norm when I was growing up. Now you have convenience store chains offering a choice of two cups so you can declare who you support. As if I want to get into an argument/fight with a complete stranger first thing in the morning before going to work.
