What Are The Giant Pharmacy Open/Close Hours?

October 11, 2023 by Tamila McDonald

Giant Pharmacy

When you need a prescription filled, your local Giant Pharmacy may seem like a perfect choice. If you already shop there for other needs, using the pharmacy is incredibly convenient. However, you need to make sure that the Giant Pharmacy operating hours work for your schedule. If you’re wondering, “What are the Giant Pharmacy open/close hours?” here’s everything you need to know.

When Does the Giant Pharmacy Open?

As with most pharmacies, when the Giant Pharmacy opens may vary from one location to the next. Additionally, the day of the week can be a factor. However, most maintain a reasonably similar schedule, making it easier to anticipate when your Giant Pharmacy probably opens each day.

Typically, the Giant Pharmacy opens at 9:00 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. On Sundays, the Giant Pharmacy isn’t usually open until 10:00 a.m.

What Does the Giant Pharmacy Close?

Just as opening hours can vary depending on the exact Giant Pharmacy location and the day of the week, so can closing times. Fortunately, most Giant Pharmacy sites use a similar closing schedule, making it easier to plan for your next trip.

On weekdays, the Giant Pharmacy usually closes at 9:00 p.m., though it may close at 8:00 p.m. in some locations. On weekends, the closing time is typically 6:00 p.m., though some of the pharmacies close at 5:00 p.m. instead.

Are Giant Pharmacies Open on Holidays?

Giant Pharmacy locations may close for specific holidays, though that isn’t necessarily common. Giant Foods stores are open on the vast majority of holidays, and the same is true of the on-site pharmacy.

However, the entire store – including the pharmacy – is closed on Easter. Plus, the stores often have special holiday hours on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve or Day, which may lead to modified hours for the pharmacy or might cause the pharmacy to close for the day. As a result, if you need a prescription near one of those holidays, it’s best to check with your nearest location to see if the holiday is impacting the pharmacy’s hours of operation.

How to Find Out When Your Giant Pharmacy Is Open

Since different Giant Pharmacy locations may have schedules that fall outside of the norms above, it’s best to look at the operating times at the one you plan to use. Typically, the easiest way to find out when a location opens and closes is to check the pharmacy information on the Giant website. That way, you can find the exact hours at your preferred store, allowing you to prepare for your trip effectively.

Another option is to check store signage near the pharmacy the next time you’re shopping, as the hours are typically listed there. You can also call your preferred location to find out about the operating hours of the pharmacy.

Do you head to the Giant Pharmacy to handle your prescriptions? If so, do you want to tell others why they should (or shouldn’t) use the Giant pharmacy for their prescription needs? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
