3 Techniques to Improve Your Company’s Digital Marketing Strategy

March 31, 2022 by Justin Weinger

In 2022, digital marketing is one of the most effective tools for any company’s success. Reaching a wide audience and promoting your business on social media is the key to ensuring long-term success for all businesses of all sizes.

If you find that your company’s digital marketing team is struggling, here a 3 simple but effective tips for improving audience engagement across all of your social media platforms.

  1. Know Your Audience

Social media and the online world change every day. With constant changes and developments in each social platform, it can be difficult to keep up with your audience and to understand their wants and needs according to each period of their lives. Make sure that your marketing team is able to adjust rapidly to any changes in the social media landscape to be able to match their audience’s current attitudes.

  1. Partner with Influencers

One of the best ways to gain a following or keep your current audience engaged on social media is to partner with influencers who already have a large following or devoted fan base. Working with influencers whose fans already have an interest in the type of product or service your company offers can introduce your business to a whole new audience and demographic of potential customers. Plus, partnering with trusted influencers adds credibility to your brand and improves the look of your online presence. Just be sure that your influencer partnership makes sense. For example, a medical clinic like ThriveMD might not partner with a foodie account on Instagram as the content might not make sense on either account. They might, however, partner with a popular nurse on TikTok to share information about their services; it makes sense that a nurse would speak on this topic, and the nurse’s audience is likely made up of people who care about medical content.

  1. Be Relatable

The most successful brand accounts on social media are beloved for acting like people, not like brands. Posting or replying to your audience in a personal tone can help built rapport between you and customers. If your brand allows, being funny and participating in trends on social media such as memes or the newest viral craze can bring positive attention to your business and create engagement through shares. Being relatable on social media and showing your audience that a real person (or team) runs your account will set you apart from your competition.
