My Favorite Personal Finance YouTubers

February 16, 2022 by Vicky Monroe

My Favorite Personal Finance YouTubers

One of my favorite ways to gain personal finance knowledge is to watch YouTube videos. I put them on in the background while I’m doing dishes, laundry, and other chores so I can learn while I clean. To help you improve your financial know-how, I thought I’d share some of my favorite personal finance channels below. Watching these YouTubers is not only educational but also highly entertaining!

Zoe Pritchard

Zoe Pritchard is a personal finance and career vlogger from Canada. One of the reasons I love her channel is that she’s open and honest about her finances. If she makes a financial mistake like charging too much on her credit card, she doesn’t hide it. She shares her financial shortcomings and discusses how she plans to do better in the future, which is very relatable.

Right now Zoe is also on a self-employment journey. After she got laid off from her corporate job, she decided to become her own boss. Now she’s freelancing and working on growing her YouTube channel. It’s inspiring to watch her chase her dreams in her weekly vlogs, which motivates me to work harder on my own business.

Jamie and Sarah

Jamie and Sarah are a self-employed husband-and-wife team. Their YouTube channel covers topics like FIRE, real estate investing, furniture flipping, and other side hustles. They achieved financial independence by working as wedding photographers and paying off multiple rental properties. My fiancé and I hope to FIRE through real estate investing as well, so we’ve enjoyed watching and learning from their journey.

HomeSteadHow

HomesSteadHow isn’t strictly a personal finance channel but has lots of helpful videos on how to earn money in a rural area. Kerry and his family have set up about half a dozen different businesses on their homestead. They rent part of their home out on Airbnb, run a profitable dog kennel, make custom wooden signs, do web development, and more. Kerry and his wife even managed to pay off their homestead at the age of 35 through hard work and frugality, giving them much more freedom and flexibility.

My fiancé and I bought a small homestead on ten acres about a year ago. We’ve gotten lots of inspiration and ideas from watching HomeSteadHow and hope to have as many successful businesses as they do someday!

Ohio Valley Couponer

Grocery prices have skyrocketed in the past year. If you’re feeling squeezed by rising food costs, check out Ohio Valley Couponer. It’s a YouTube channel run by a thrifty 20-year-old college student who’s a master couponer. He gives a full breakdown of his grocery shopping trips so you can copy his deals and save money at the supermarket. I’ve shaved at least $100 off my monthly grocery bill by following his tips.

Graham Stephan

Graham Stephan is a self-made millionaire who worked his way up the real estate ladder and became a top-performing agent. Now he runs a popular YouTube channel that covers budgeting, investing, real estate and stock market trends, and more.

Even though Graham pulls in big bucks, he still keeps his spending minimal and is known for his 20 cent iced coffee. He even claims that he does his laundry during off-peak hours to save a couple cents. He’s a great example of how to keep lifestyle creep to a minimum to save and invest more money.

My favorite videos on his channel are his critiques of other people’s budgets. I’ve learned a lot of ways to cut back my spending by listening to his money management tips.

There you have it! Those are my five favorite personal finance YouTubers. Which channels do you recommend? Let me know in the comments section below!
