What Does a Costco Halloween Have in Store for Its Customers?

October 28, 2021 by Tamila McDonald

Ft. Wayne – Circa August 2017: Costco Wholesale Location. Costco Wholesale is a Multi-Billion Dollar Global Retailer X

With Halloween getting loser, heading to Costco to get all of your must-haves can seem like a wise move. The retailer has a wide variety of items and is known for competitive prices. If you’re interested in Costco Halloween deals, here are some things to look for during your next trip.

Halloween Candy

When it comes to bulk buying, Costco has long been a leader. Whether you need bags of individually wrapped candies or large containers, you can find what you need at your nearest warehouse location at an affordable price.

If you’re hosting a party, the large containers are a great choice. You can get regular and peanut M&M’s, as well as other snacks like trail mix, peanut butter pretzels, mixed nuts, and more

Just be aware that bagging your own candy from a bulk container might not work for trick or treaters. Not all parents are comfortable allowing their children to eat sweets that aren’t pre-packaged, especially during COVID-19.

As a result, you may want to go with options like the Kirkland Signature All Chocolate 150-Count Bag instead. It features a mix of Halloween favorites like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Snickers, and Twix, each individually wrapped and ready to hand out.

Halloween Costumes

If you need Halloween costumes this year, Costco has you covered. You can find a slew of options online and in-store. Finding classic costumes like astronaut, mermaid, pirate, and fairy is pretty easy, ensuring your child can find the perfect one for them.

Plus, the pricing is incredibly reasonable. Many of the designs for kids come in near $33, which is competitive considering that they include the costume itself, as well as fun accessories. Just keep in mind that the sizes are a bit limited. Generally, you’ll find kids’ sizes 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8. However, some sizes may sell out for specific designs. As a result, you may want to shop soon if you want to make sure your child has the largest selection available.

Halloween Décor

While Costco doesn’t have a ton of Halloween décor options, there are a few available. There are smaller figurines that can be used inside on shelves or similar surfaces. The medium-sized outdoor decorations can work for porches, while the wreaths can add a little something special to the door.

Along with those options – which may be online and in stores – some warehouse locations might have more to offer, including some larger items. However, that isn’t always the case. As a result, you may need to shop elsewhere if you want big outdoor decorations.

Halloween Baking

While Costco doesn’t have a lot of baking options focused on Halloween, there is one that could be perfect for some family fun. The Bakery Bling Halloween Cookie Decorating Kit gives you access to 32 pre-baked cookies – including a mix of pumpkins and ghosts – along with some icing and glittery sugar. Plus, there are some specialty decoration candies to make faces on the pumpkins and ghosts.

Ultimately, the kit is a simple way to make some personalized sweet treats. Of course, you could bring in some extra decorations if you’d like, too, making it easier to customize the cookies further.
