August 31, 2021 by Vicky Monroe

Is Giant Eagle Open on Labor Day?

Labor Day is a federal holiday that honors American workers. It falls on the first Monday of September, so government offices and some businesses shut their doors for the day to give their employees a break. Here’s everything you need to know about Giant Eagle’s Labor Day and general holiday schedule so you can plan accordingly.

Is Giant Eagle Open on Labor Day 2021?

Luckily Giant Eagle will be open during normal business hours on Labor Day 2021, which falls on Monday, September 6th.

So if you need to do your weekly grocery shop or pick up some supplies for your Labor Day barbecue, you can head there without issue. But make sure you check your local store’s hours before you make the trip. Some locations are open 24/7 while others close as early as 9 p.m.

Certain departments like the pharmacy and bakery may also close before the rest of the store. You can use the store locator tool on Giant Eagle’s website to find out when your store and all of its departments will be open.

Other Stores Open Labor Day 2021

If you’re planning to go shopping over the holiday weekend to take advantage of Labor Day sales, you may be wondering which other stores will be open. Here’s a list of retailers you can visit to score some great deals on clothes, toys, electronics, and more:

  • Walmart
  • Macy’s
  • Marshall’s
  • Kohl’s
  • Lowe’s
  • Sears
  • T.J. Maxx
  • Target
  • Publix
  • Whole Foods
  • Dollar General
  • Dollar Tree

Hours vary depending on location, so check your local store’s website or give them a call to find out exactly when they’ll be open.

Giant Eagle Holiday Schedule

If you’re wondering is Giant Eagle open on Labor Day, you may also want to know more about the rest of Giant Eagle’s holiday schedule. The popular grocery chain is usually closed on just two days of the year—Easter and Christmas. However, your favorite store may have reduced hours on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve.

You can find out more about your local Giant Eagle’s holiday schedule by going to the store locator tool, which shows store hours for upcoming holidays.

Does Giant Eagle Have a Labor Day Sale?

Giant Eagle doesn’t have a special Labor Day sale. But the grocery chain does put out a new sales flyer every week. So you may be able to save money on supplies for your big Labor Day bash by purchasing items from the weekly ad that runs from September 2nd to September 8th.

You can find your store’s weekly ad on the Giant Eagle website by selecting your location and use it to plan your Labor Day menu.
