When Is Amazon Prime Day 2021?

May 6, 2021 by Tamila McDonald

Amazon Prime Day 2021

Originally launched in 2015, Amazon Prime Day has become a major annual shopping event. Many consumers flock to the retailer to score outstanding deals, many of which aren’t far off from what you’d expect on Black Friday. As a result, it’s normal to wonder when Amazon Prime Day will happen each year. That way, you can prepare to take advantage of the discounts in advance. If you are wondering when Amazon Prime Day 2021 will be, here’s what you need to know.

What Is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is a major sale held by the massive online retailer. It also isn’t a single-day event. Instead, it’s a two-day shopping extravaganza.

During Amazon Prime Day, shoppers can find significant discounts on products in nearly every category. Some of the savings rivals – if not exceeds – what you see during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, attracting a lot of attention from consumers.

In 2020, shoppers saved around $1.4 billion during Amazon Prime Day. That’s a massive sum, to say the least.

When Is Amazon Prime Day 2021?

Traditionally, Amazon Prime Day takes place in July. It was originally a celebration of the retailer’s anniversary, acknowledging the launch of the company in July 1994.

However, in 2020, the event was pushed back due to the pandemic. As a result, it ultimately didn’t happen until October.

In 2021, people have already grown anxious, waiting to learn when the next Amazon Prime Day will be. Regretfully, the company hasn’t made a formal announcement just yet.

Some rumors initially began swirling, claiming that it would happen in June 2021. Others think it will occur in July, getting back to the original pattern.

How Do I Stay on Top of Amazon Prime Day?

If you want to find out when Amazon Prime Day will begin as soon as possible, as well as watch for information about Amazon Prime Day deals, keeping an eye on Amazon’s website can be a good move. The retailer often strives to generate a ton of buzz, so they are open with as many details as possible once they begin falling into place.

How Do I Access Prime Day Deals?

Usually, if you want to take advantage of Prime Day Deals, you need to have an Amazon Prime membership while the sale is running. The cost can vary, as there are discounts available to certain groups, including college students, government assistance recipients, and more.

However, if you’ve never had Prime before, you can actually sign up for a free trial during Amazon Prime Day. That would let you explore all of the discounts without paying for a membership. Just make sure that, if you go that route and don’t want to maintain Prime access, that you cancel the trial before your card is billed.
