9 Restaurants Open on Christmas Day 2019

December 13, 2019 by Amanda Blankenship

Restaurants open on Christmas

Celebrating Christmas often entails preparing a large meal that everyone eats within 20 minutes and you’re left with the cleanup. If you’re tired of that routine, you may consider eating out on the holiday. However, there are only a few restaurants open on Christmas Day. Here they are…

Boston Market

Select Boston Market locations will be open for you to dine in on Christmas, while other locations may offer food pickups that day. If you place your order early enough, they will even deliver to your house. You can choose from their regular à la carte menu or choose one of their special holiday selections (prime rib, turkey, and ham).

Buffalo Wild Wings

If you’re looking for something a little less traditional, Buffalo Wild Wings is also on the list of restaurants open on Christmas. Hours will vary by location, so be sure to call ahead and confirm their hours for the holiday.

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel won’t be open on Christmas Day, but they are offering their premade meals. You can order their heat-and-serve meals online and pick them up a few days before Christmas. Each meal only takes a few hours to prepare and takes the stress out of preparing the holiday’s feast.

Denny’s

Denny’s, which is open 24 hours a day in most places, will also be open on Christmas Day. The restaurant will have a number of holiday specials, including turkey and dressing, cinnamon roll pancakes, and pumpkin or pecan pie.

IHOP

Like Denny’s, IHOP is open 24 hours a day and it will also be open on Christmas. However, hours may vary by location, so be sure to call ahead and confirm your local IHOP’s hours that day.

Legal Sea Foods

If you are near Legal Sea Foods, they’ll be open for regular hours on Christmas Day. They’ll also have a number of holiday classic foods added to their regular menu.

Marie Callendar’s

All Marie Callendar’s locations will be open on Christmas Eve. Hours on Christmas Day, however, will vary by location. If you’re interested in feasting at Marie’s on Christmas, be sure to call ahead and confirm their hours.

Starbucks

Starbucks will be open all day Christmas for anyone in need of a cup of coffee or a warm chocolate chip cookie. Most locations will be open regular hours, but it is still a good idea to call ahead.

Waffle House

Like many other 24-hour diners, Waffle House will also be open on Christmas Day. They actually don’t close all year long! If you want a yummy breakfast or sandwich, you’ll be able to count on Waffle House that day.

As mentioned above, it is always a good idea to call your local restaurants to confirm their hours for Christmas Day. If the establishment is a franchise, sometimes companies leave it up to the location owner as to whether they’ll be open or not.
