The Best Swimsuits of 2018: What’s Trendy and Affordable?

May 28, 2018 by Amanda Blankenship

best swimsuits 2018
Welcome to the unofficial beginning of summer: Memorial Day. If you haven’t yet picked out a swimsuit for the months to come, here’s where to find one, based on what’s trendy and affordable.

Amazon

Of course, Amazon has some of the best prices of all, since you can buy practically everything through the site (and get a fairly good deal). Bikini tops and bottoms start at as little as $5. One-piece suits start at $8.99 on the site, while swim trunks start around $6.

American Eagle

American Eagle and its sister company, Aerie, have some fantastic deals on swimwear this season. For ladies, the retailer has trendy monokinis starting at $17.98. Separates (bikinis) start around $22 per piece. American Eagle swim shorts, on the other hand, are a bit more pricey at $29.98.

Bikini.com

Shop for your swimsuit through Bikini.com and you’ll get free shipping on all orders over $75. As you can probably guess by the name, this site’s best deals are on bikinis. Bikini tops and bottoms start at $9.99. There are also a wide variety of one-piece bathing suits on the site starting at $39 and swim trunks starting at $49.

Charlotte Russe

Charlotte Russe has some stylish and affordable swimsuits to choose from as well. Bikini tops and bottoms start at $12.99, while one-piece bathing suits start at just $20. Unlike many of the other retailers on the list, you won’t be able to buy swim trunks here.

Missguided

Here’s another great place to find affordable swimwear online. Bikini tops and bottoms start at $11, while one-piece swimsuits start at just $17. If you’re searching for swim shorts, this site’s not for you: Currently, it only sells traditionally female swimwear.

Old Navy

This retailer offers great deals on all kinds of clothing throughout the summer, and swimwear is no exception. Bikini tops start at $11.50, while bottoms start at $10. One-piece swimsuits start at $17.50. The retailer is also offering swim trunks starting at $12.50 a pair.

PacSun

This retailer is holding a sale on swimwear to kick off the summer: buy one piece and get the next piece 50 percent off. Bikinis are starting at $12.95 per piece, with the second piece being as little as $7. One-piece swimsuits are starting at $25 but are not included in the 50-percent-off sale. Swim trunks, on the other hand, are included in the sale and start at $34.95.

Target

Over Memorial Day weekend, Target is offering shoppers an additional 20 percent off all apparel, among other items throughout the store. Bikini swimsuit separates and swim trunks start at $14.99 at Target, while one-piece swimsuits start at $29.99.

Victoria’s Secret

For a limited time, Victora’s Secret is offering 50 percent off all of its swimwear. During the sale, bikini separates will start at $12. Additionally, the sale will bring the price of one-piece suits to $21 or more. Note that this retailer doesn’t sell swim trunks.

Walmart

You’ll be able to find a pretty good deal on swimwear at Walmart, no matter what you are looking for. The more popular one-piece monokinis start at $11.88, while bikinis and swim trunks start around $14.99 and $8, respectively.

These are the 10 most affordable places we found to buy a bathing suit, based on current sale prices. However, if you’re willing to wait until the end of the summer, you may get up to 75 percent off regular prices. August is the best month of the year to buy a swimsuit.

Readers, have you spotted some deals that aren’t yet included in this story? Please tell us about them by posting in the comments section beneath this post.
