Emma Watson, better known as Hermione Granger, has grown up in the spotlight. She took her first major role in the “Harry Potter” series when she was just 10 years old and the rest, as they say, is history.

Watson has grown tremendously as an actress and role model and has the wealth to match. What is Emma Watson’s net worth?

Emma Watson’s Profile:

Net worth in 2017: $70 million
Profession: Actor
Age: 26
Source Of Wealth: Acting career
Residence: England
Citizenship: English
Marital Status: Single
Education: Brown University

Emma Watson’s Career

Emma Watson was born on April 15, 1990 in Paris, France. Her parents divorced when she was young and she moved to England with her mother when she was five years old.

At that young age Watson knew she wanted to be an actress. She started acting in the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts when she was six. She studied singing, acting and dancing during her years at the part-time theatre school.

She’d never professionally acted before she landed the role of Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” series at the age of nine. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” was released two years later and marked Watson’s debut on the big screen. For 10 years Watson starred as Hermione Granger in all of the “Harry Potter” films. While she was acting on the set of “Harry Potter” Watson also took on a number of other roles in films like “Ballet Shoes” and “The Tales of Bordeaux.”

The 26-year-old actress’ time as Hermione Granger was over in 2011 when the series ended. However, her stardom did not. She’s gone on to act alongside big Hollywood stars in films like “Perks of Being a Wallflower” and “This is the End.”

How has the starlet’s career contributed to her overall wealth? What is Emma Watson’s net worth?

Emma Watson’s Net Worth

Emma Watson's net worthThere is no doubt the actress has grown a significant amount since we first saw her on the big screen in 2001. Her wealth has grown exponentially as well. Emma Watson’s net worth sits at an astounding $70 million.

The bulk of Emma Watson’s net worth has stemmed from her role as Hermione Granger. It is estimated that she made between $15 million and $20 million a year while she was on set for “Harry Potter.” She and the other stars from “Harry Potter” were all made into stars through the film series. However, Watson has earned some serious cash from endorsements as well.

The well-known wizard has been a face that has been used to endorse a number of companies. Watson is known to have endorsed Burberry , Calvin Klein, Catbird, Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabbana. She’s made millions of dollars from these deals.

Many other celebs have a list of assets that contribute to their wealth as well. Emma Watson’s net worth, on the other hand, isn’t made up of material assets. In fact, the star is known to drive a Toyota Prius and doesn’t live too lavishly, which will definitely help her out in the future.

More recently Watson has been in the news for losing her role in the film “La La Land” for being too demanding. However, it doesn’t seem Emma Watson’s net worth has suffered any. In fact, she was able to score the role of Belle in Disney’s live action “Beauty and the Beast,” which will be on the big screen in March.

Watson has been lucky enough to land some huge roles throughout her career and there’s no sign of that ending any time soon.
