Tom Hardy’s Career
Edward Thomas Hardy, better known as Tom Hardy, was born on September 15, 1977 in Hammersmith, London. It wasn’t until 1998 that he got his “big break” in entertainment though. Hardy won a “Find Me a Supermodel” contest that year that gained him a considerable amount of attention. Additionally in 1998, Hardy began taking classes at the Drama Centre London after sliding into a spot on an HBO original show.
Three years later, after finishing courses at the Drama Centre, Hardy landed his first Hollywood role in “Black Hawk Down.” For the next 10 years or so Hardy took on small roles on television or in the theater (not so much in Hollywood).
Until 2010 that is. From 2010 until the present Hardy has begun popping up in rather large Blockbuster-hit films such as “Inception,” “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Mad Max.” Additionally, Hardy starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the Award-winning motion picture “The Revenant.” His role in the film got him his first Academy Award nomination of his career.
Moving forward Hardy will be appearing on the television show “Taboo” as well as a new Christopher Nolan film titled “Dunkirk” in 2017. With such successful films under his belt, what is Tom Hardy’s net worth?
Tom Hardy’s Net Worth
Tom Hardy’s net worth sits at about $15 million, however, estimates go as high as $30 million. Either way you look at it, when it comes to making cash, Hardy is having no problem.
In addition to his many roles on the big screen Hardy has taken on several roles in BBC miniseries “The Virgin Queen,” “Stuart: A Life Backwards” and Martina Cole’s “The Take.” Not to mention his roles in huge hits like “The Dark Knight Rises,” where he played the role of Bane.
It is also rumored that Tom Hardy may fill the shoes of Mr. James Bond in the next slew of 007 movies coming out. Daniel Craig will be retiring from the role and it seems Hardy is a main contender. If Hardy’s earnings from the film are anything like Craig’s you can expect to see Tom Hardy’s net worth grow by about $20 million or so. That is, is he’s cast in the role.
Hardy didn’t get rich over night though, and not all of his earnings are from the roles he plays on stage and in film. In fact, a majority of Tom Hardy’s net worth is attributed to smart stock investments, property holdings ($160,000 Audi R8 Spyder), endorsement deals (CoverGirl). Hardy also owns several “Fat Hardy Burger” locations in London and a football team (the London Angels). He’s also launched a brand of vodka, perfume and fashion line all with his name on it.
Any way you look at it it doesn’t seem like his career is slowing down any time soon and Tom Hardy’s net worth isn’t looking to slow down either. Be on the look out for him (on and off the big screen) over the next few years.
