Joe Biden’s Career
Vice President Joe Biden was born on November 20, 1942. He is the 47th and current vice president of the United States. He entered politics in 1973 when he became the Senator of Delaware. Biden entered the office of the Senate on January 3, 1973 and held that office until he moved into the White House with President Barack Obama in 2009.
Although Biden is now a Democrat, there was a time where he thought of himself as a Republican. Early in his career Biden clerked for six months at a law firm run by Republican William Prickett. Working with Prickett every day had some influence on how Biden thought of himself politically at the time.
He decided to run for Senate in 1972. His campaign focused on things like withdrawal from Vietnam, environmental concerns, civil rights, healthcare and change. Biden’s campaign was not well-funded and appeared to have no chance of winning but he surprised the entire state of Delaware and became the Senator. He remained the Senator for 37 years before he entered the White House. With all of that political success, what is Joe Biden’s net worth?
Joe Biden’s Net Worth

Biden’s net worth is made up of annual salary from his time as Senator and his time as vice president. He has made about $300,000 a year for some time, however, the majority of Biden’s salary is tied up in insurance policies, CDs and other investments and therefore is not included in his overall net worth. He also has a number of liabilities and assets in his name. Biden, like many other people, has mortgages, equity and loans out.
After some speculation, Biden decided not to run for president in the 2016 election. Instead he will go on to continue to try and positively influence the world of politics. It is not yet clear where Biden’s political career will go from here. In January, he and Barack Obama will give their place in the White House to Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
