Miley Cyrus, formerly known as “Hannah Montana” to many, has certainly made a name for herself. She went from one of Disney’s most-prized stars to the young woman half-nude swinging from a wrecking ball in a blink of an eye.

Most recently Miley has been in the news because of her rekindled romance with Liam Hemsworth. The pair was engaged, then separated and are now seemingly back together. Miley Cryus’ Career

Miley Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee (outside of Nashville). It became obvious at a young age that Destiny would share her father’s love for music and performing. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is a famous country singer. She officially changed her name from Destiny Hope to Miley Ray in 2008. “Miley” came from her nickname “Smiley” that she shortened and her middle name came from her paternal grandfather (Ronald Ray Cyrus).

Cyrus grew up on a 500-acre farm in Tennessee and attended Elementary School there for some time. Once Miley began to act on Disney’s “Hannah Montana” she enrolled at Options for Youth Charter Schools and was privately tutored on set. The series premiered in March of 2006 and Cyrus instantly became a “teen idol.” Her relationships and friendships with other Disney stars gained her a lot of media coverage and the young star was soon known all over the world.

During her time on “Hannah Montana,” Cyrus also began to vamp up her music career. She ventured out on her “Best of Both Worlds” tour while working on the show. It wasn’t long before she was seeking to have a more mature image. In 2010, Cyrus starred in “The Last Song,” a film based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks. During the filming of “The Last Song” Cyrus began a romantic relationship with Liam Hemsworth. She also released her album “Can’t Be Tamed” in 2010.

Just three years later Cyrus was looking to change her image once again. It seemed that the former Disney star was having difficulty escaping her “Hannah Montana” label. Cyrus hired a new manager, Larry Rudolph, who is famous for managing stars like Britney Spears. She began working with artists like Mike Will Made It, Pharrell Williams, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J and when she first appeared performing her “Bangerz” tour people were astounded at her new look.

With so much acting, performing and so many albums under her belt, Miley Cyrus is worth a pretty penny. What is Miley Cyrus’ net worth?

Miley Cyrus' Net Worth
Miley Cyrus’ net worth is $200 million. Her estimated annual salary sits at $17.6 million. She has made over $20 million from albums alone and has raked in more than $200 million from tours. Her acting career has lead to earnings of about $8 million and she’s earned over $15 million from Youtube. Throughout her career she has also earned $12 million from endorsements, $76.4 million from merchandise and over $29 million in investment income. Her career shows no signs of slowing down either.

Cyrus revealed a fifth studio album at the end of 2015. “Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz” was available for free streaming on SoundCloud. It was a rather experimental album for Cyrus and has been described as a combination of psychedelic pop, psychedelic rock and alternative pop. While this album has not brought Cyrus a ton of money she has made cash through cameos in television shows and films.

The young actor/pop star has also announced that she will take the place of Gwen Stefani in the 11th season of “The Voice.” If Miley continues to land roles on TV and in films and continues work on her music career her net worth will likely only climb in years to come.
