Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas

December 18, 2015 by Amanda Blankenship

Last Minute Christmas Gifts

With Christmas only a week away, many people are looking for some last-minute gifts for people on their list. Some people are harder to buy for than others, or maybe you forgot someone on your list and need something quick and last minute. Here are some not-so-expensive last-minute gift ideas:

Green Science Dynamo Torch

You may want to purchase a Green Science Dynamo Torch for a child on your list. The kit allows children feel like scientists. The kit is inexpensive and a great present for the little scientists in your life. It comes with a toy motor, gears, LED light bulb and plastic casing. It also doesn’t require any batteries, which is great for people who aren’t wanting to spend a ton on batteries this Christmas. The best part is, the Green Science Dynamo Torch only costs $9.99.

Make a Basket

One of the easiest, and most cost-efficient, things to do is to make up a gift basket. If you know something the person likes to do, you can easily make a basket with a theme to it. You can set a spending limit and put together a basket for someone on your list. For example, if you have a beauty lover in your life, put together a basket with different beauty supplies, or if you have a coffee lover, make a coffee-themed basket.

Make a Hat or Scarf

If you are crafty, making a gift may be an easy and inexpensive gift. If you know how to crochet or knit, you can buy a skein of yarn for less than $3, and you can make them a hat/scarf set. Making the set in their favorite color would personalize it, and it would be handmade, so it would be a special gift. Hats and scarves are fairly quick projects too, so you would spend a lot of time on it.

Sugar Scrubs

Sometimes, the winter can dry out your skin and usually a sugar scrub can help both exfoliate and moisturize the skin. You can make a sugar scrub using sensitive skin body wash, baby oil and sugar, so it is really cheap to make a lot of. You can also use an essential oil if you would like a different scent. Then, you can buy small mason jars to put the sugar scrub in which are only about $10 for 12 jars, and you have 12 gifts. You can personalize the jars with some decoration, and give someone a personalized, thoughtful gift (for not much money).

Locket

Jewelry is always a great gift, and it doesn’t have to break the bank. Locket necklaces are always a great gift to give and now, they make lockets with more than one place to put a photo. They are great for mothers who want to place a photo of each of her children in the locket (and not just one). You can find lockets like this for under $40.

Neyya Smart Ring

If you’re looking for a present for someone and you are willing to spend a little more money, a smart ring is a unique gift. It is compatible with Apple products. You are able to take selfies, GoPro shots, control streaming of video, accept/decline calls, send reminders, and you can also control a presentation from the ring. It only takes about a minute to set up, and you can get the ring for $139.

Last minute gifts can be stressful, but have no fear! There are plenty of options out there, and it doesn’t have to be the boring gift sets you see throughout all of the stores. You can find (or make) a decent last-minute gift that is perfect for everyone on your list.
