Little Known McDonalds Deals

September 27, 2015 by Alexa Mason

Little known McDonalds deals
McDonald’s is well known as the place to go for fast cheap food. By ordering off the Dollar Menu you can get a full meal – burger, fries and a drink – for $3.00 plus tax. In addition to the low menu prices, there are many commonly known ways to save money at McDonald’s but there are also some little known McDonald’s deals available. Here are five McDonald’s deals you might not be aware of:

Discounted Gift Cards

McDonald’s gift cards are available at most places where gift cards are sold. The value of the gift card is the price you pay to buy it. But you may not be aware that you can purchase discounted McDonald’s gift cards on eBay and through other gift card resellers. Even though you purchase the gift cards for a discounted price, the cards are worth the face value at your local McDonald’s. This could be great, especially if you are able to get the cards at steep discount.

Free Apple Pie

Remember how the cashier used to ask if you wanted fries with that? Or if you wanted to Supersize your order? Now McDonald’s is upselling their apple pies. That means that if the cashier does not ask if you want an apple pie with your order, you can receive a free apple pie. To take advantage of this offer you have to ask for it as soon as your cashier has completed your transaction. Not all McDonald’s participate in this offer. Check with your local store.

Free Sandwich

McDonald’s has gone digital and launched an app for the iPhone. The McDonald’s app will help you locate the nearest McDonald’s, provide nutritional information on the food and offer special promotions. You can get a coupon for a free sandwich when you download the McDonald’s app free from the App Store. The app will also alert you to special promotions and exclusive offers that you can redeem within the app.

Join The Email List

Join the McDonald’s email list or like their Facebook page to receive coupons and promotional offers. Coupons will be sent directly to your email. You will also receive alerts on special promotional offers like a new product that McDonald’s may be testing in your area.

McCafe Club

Join the San Diego McCafe Club online and you will receive a free McCafe drink for registering. Registered members also receive special coupons and offers. The coupons are only valid for San Diego McDonald’s locations.

Military Discount

Some McDonald’s locations offer a discount to members of the military. The military discount is not available at all McDonald’s stores. The discount offer also varies by store. Ask at your local McDonald’s to see if they participate in the military discount program.

McDonald’s is a great place to go when you need a fast, cheap meal. With the addition of salads and wraps, the menu has options for almost everyone. With the Grilled Sweet Chili Chicken Premium McWrap, Buffalo Ranch McChicken sandwich, Premium Classic Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Premium Southwest Salad with Grilled Chicken, McDonalds offers a number of options which are low in fat and calories by fast-food standards.
