When Does McDonald’s Monopoly 2014 Begin?

September 23, 2014 by Jeffrey Strain

When does McDonald's Monopoly start

The start of the official McDonald’s Monopoly game in 2014 is September 30. This is when you will be able to begin collecting game pieces and game stamps from food items at McDonald’s to try and create property monopolies to win great prizes. While September 30 is the beginning of the official game, McDonald’s has also thrown in a small twist for those who truly love the game with a Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes which you’ll want to enter since it’s your best chance to win a big prize in this year’s contest.

The Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes runs for a week beginning September 23 and ending September 30. There is a single prize of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) in cash available for this sweepstakes, and it also gives you an entry into the fifty thousand dollar ($50,000) cash prize available during the official online game. The main reason to enter this Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes is that it will give you the best chance to win a big prize in McDonald’s Monopoly 2014.

What is the McDonald’s Monopoly Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes code?

Entering is fairly simple and straight forward. You need to go to the McDonald’s Monopoly page where you’ll be prompted to enter a code. The special code to enter the Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes is “McDMONOPOLY” which will get you into the system where you can create an account. Once done, you will be officially entered into the $10,000 sweepstakes, and you’ll receive an email confirming the entry to the email address you provided. You’ll also have your account ready to go when you begin to receive codes from game pieces when the official game begins.

While the game doesn’t official begin until September 30, there are a number of steps you can take to prepare for the game in order to place yourself in the best position to have a chance to win some prizes. As with most of these games, being prepared ahead of time gives you an advantage over those who aren’t. You likely have the best chance to win one of the bigger prizes if you enter the online game stamp codes early in the contest when there are far fewer people playing the game, since it’s just begun and there hasn’t been a lot of advertising done.

This game is by far the most popular of all the contests McDonald’s has throughout the year, and there are a lot of people who look forward to it beginning each year. There isn’t a set date for the contest to begin (last year it started in July), but it was likely delayed until fall this year because of a World Cup contest which took place over the summer.
