Is Costco Open on the Fourth of July 2015?

June 30, 2015 by Alexa Mason

Find out whether or not Costco is open on July 4th 2015
It can sometimes be difficult for people to know if a federal holiday is actually a holiday, or a day to go shopping. It seems there are more and more sales for every holiday these days. It’s common for stores specifically target holidays as a way to drive traffic to their stores. While this is the way most stores operate, it’s not the way all stores do. One of those exceptions is Costco.

While most stores will be asking you to shop their Independence Day sales over the fourth of July weekend, Costco will actually be closed on July fourth. It is one of several holidays Costco closes to give their employees a chance to celebrate the holiday with their family and friends.

Costco giving their employees time off is great news for them and their families, but it does mean those who shop at the warehouses need to be a little bit more organized for planning their 4th of July weekend. Costco is a valued retailer for those who are stocking up on food and other supplies for holiday weekends like the fourth, so having the warehouse closed when most other retailers remain open can catch people by surprise.

Is Costco open on Friday, July 3?

Yes, Costco is open on July 3. While federal employees are getting Friday off since Independence day lands on a Saturday this year, this doesn’t apply to Costco. The warehouse will be open for business for its regular Friday hours so everyone can stock up on food and other supplies to celebrate the independence of our nation.

Is Costco open on the Fourth of July?

No, Costco is not open on the Fourth of July.

There is no such thing as a Costco Memorial Day sale because the warehouse is closed for this holiday. For those who are planning to have friends and family over for the unofficial first day of summer, they need to stock up on supplies before May 25, 2015, if they want to purchase items at Costco warehouses.

Is Costco open on Memorial Day Weekend?

Yes, Costco is open on Memorial Day Weekend. While the warehouses will be closed on Monday, May 25, they will be open for business on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 for all those who need to purchase food and other supplies for the weekend and holiday. The stores will keep their normal Saturday and Sunday hours over the weekend.

Are Costco gas stations open on Memorial Day?

No, Costco gas stations aren’t open on Memorial Day. Just like the warehouses, Costco gas stations will observe the same holiday schedule as the stores to which they are attached. While Costco gas stations often have extended hours compared to the warehouses, they do not open on holidays when the warehouses are closed. If you need to fill up you car or another vehicle with quality gas for the holiday, you will want to do it before May 25.
