This is one of the anonymous confessions that I have collected over the past few months that I thought was worth sharing. This is confession number 42 in the series:

world travel
“I still can’t forgive my parents for spending my inheritance to travel the world.”

This is one of the most selfish confessions I have read. “Your inheritance” was never yours if your parents didn’t will the money to you. They earned it and they should bloody well do whatever they wanted with it. If you can’t forgive them for not giving you something that was never yours, you have a lot of growing up to do.

I don’t think that anyone should expect money from their parents. On a side note, that’s a beautiful photo.

Wow, entitlement. I really hate people sometimes.

  • Ed says:

I would like to hope we are reading this wrong. As opposed to money their parents were going to leave them, it was money left to them from, say a grandparent?
Other wise that is just down right selfish.

  • Neal says:

What if “your inheritance” had been spent on medical care for a chronic illness to prolong your parents life for a year or two? Wonder if the child would be able to forgive his or her parents then.
