Comcast 200Mps $95.95/month.
We have internet only with Comcast so no bundle discount for TV and/or phone service.Steve
* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Gigabit internet with Comcast for $95 a month which includes a modem rental. We live in a complex that has exclusivity rights with Comcast so we have to use them, and when Comcast knows that, they force you to rent their modem in order to get unlimited (I believe their modem better allows them to spy on your activity). We don't need/want their modem, but we rent it so that we can get unlimited and not pay data overages (we tried without and got hit with overage fees 3 months in a row).

Ugggghghhhhhhgggrrrrrr!!!! This subject makes my blood boil. I own it, though, because this is where we wanted to live.
We pay over $100/month to Lumen/ LastCenturyLink for 20Mbps service with included land-line telephone. The internet service is two bonded 10Mbps circuits with a total of 1.8Mbps upload speed. They are the ONLY provider, they WILL NOT upgrade their infrastructure. Their whole world is infuriating, from offshore support to their ticketing system, third-party/contracted technicians.
We are on the waiting list for Starlink (Elon Musk's low-orbit satellite service) and paid to secure our place in line. We think we are fairly close to getting that service.
We did discover we get about 60Mbps on 5g Cellular here, and we also get 50 or so on Verizon LTE, and home plans are starting to be offered. I think the days of hard-wired internet are going away....problem is, it can't come soon enough!History will judge the complicit.

I believe google fi might come sooner but who knows? I used to have only century link satellite. then begged comcast at our last place and now we went from frontier to ziply. I mean when you have 1 provider it's a bit hard to argue.Originally posted by ua_guy View PostUgggghghhhhhhgggrrrrrr!!!! This subject makes my blood boil. Same here. I paid my deposit back in February, and was told it'd be about 6 months before I'd get my gear and be activated. I'm in no hurry because this internet would be for my future house, that I haven't even broke ground on yet. I'll offer up a review once I'm up and running (I am very curious to see how good or bad StarLink is going to be)Originally posted by ua_guy View PostWe are on the waiting list for Starlink (Elon Musk's low-orbit satellite service) and paid to secure our place in line.
