You're welcome. I actually had an open limit order at $7.20 so I didn't have to follow it. One reason I don't do more trading is because I don't have the time to watch things well enough.
Fair enough. Actually, I was just kidding about selling... although I thought real long and hard about it in the low 6's. Still holding 89,000 shares, and deciding what to do...

When it dipped down near 6 a few days ago, I actually thought about buying more. I just didn't have the time to do it. I also didn't have any available funds in my SEP-IRA account and didn't want to buy it in my taxable account. When I do my taxes, I'll be able to add money to the SEP so I'll have a little more to play with.

Just checked back in on AFFY...you guys made out pretty well so far...might get to $8 soon.
I missed the AFFY play, but I am doing quite well in AVNR. Last week for some very strange reason the Jan 2012 $2.50 AVNR call options were selling for $1.25 when the stock was trading at $3.80. In other words, they were selling BELOW COST with no time value. I bought 100 contracts (all I had not tied up in other stocks in my IRA) at $1.25 controlling 10,000 shares. Now they are trading at a more reasonable $1.55ish (still not much time value) and I am still holding...hoping for maybe $2 an option soon. I have never ever seen an option sell below cost before....I wish I could find more of these "deals"
What's the latest folks? I'm glad I got out of AFFY before the new issue plummeted the price to $5.90 or less.
I just put in my SEP-IRA contribution so I'm looking for something to buy. I'm still holding my CBOU which has finally ticked up enough that I may sell it and then move into something else with that money plus the new money added.

Still stuck with lots of AFFY and will basically double my position if the share price remains below $6 in mid-April when my put comes due. The follow on offering was brutal for me. I haven't "lost" anything, but I can't do anything with this $ in the meantime until it recovers else take the loss which I would do if I knew of somewhere better to put it.
In the meantime I made some money on EWJ calls, FOLD, NVGN, MSHL, and CHMT. I still have all of these positions.
