  • What is your Cardio Routine?

I hit the Peloton 3 times a week with a run or two mixed in (2-3 miles). Outdoor biking with some treadmill work as well.

    Miles upon miles.

I've always been a runner (and loathe stepping into a gym). Desirably, especially in good weather, I try getting out 2-3x weekly. My normal runs are 4-6 miles, though closer to 3 miles when I'm time crunched (like a run before work)... Anything below 3 miles just seems like a waste of time. The first 1.5 miles is the warmup! And when I know I have plenty of time (ex: Saturday on my own), I'll do 8-9+ miles.

I do also enjoy road biking, and I'll occasionally do 15-30 miles when I have the opportunity & spark to do it.

Honestly, the only problem with my cardio habit is that it takes alot of time.... Often 1-2 hours. So I don't always get out as often as I'd like, because I know I can't go as far as I'd like. I need to get more accepting of short, <3-mile runs... But I just haven't gotten there.

I was running 50-60 miles per month - usually 4 runs/week - but have since backed that down to only the occasional run. Have substituted HIIT 5-6 times per week. Also still get in a mile or two walking with the dog each day and some additional weight training a few times per week. I needed to make the switch to add some spark back to the training regime and, as a bonus, it's helped to rebuild some muscle mass while still maintaining some cardio benefit.

        Ha, I need one.
I hit the gym 5 days a week, but it is all in the weight room.

I do some hiking occasionally, but that is about the extent of cardio right now

I need to start again. I do outdoor activity but it's not enough. Life has been such a joke the last two years that I kinda stopped caring.
