  • Camper Needs to Go Away

As I shared previously, we bought a big new 27' camper to live in while remodeling our home. That project is behind us, so now it's time to get the camper out of my shop, reclaim that space and sell the darned thing. Ground is freezing up good now, so I can pull it out of shop without messing up the lawn and that thing is going outdoors on the gravel parking area until I can get it sold. Got all the pipes drained out and winterized everything properly yesterday. Haven't been able to park my truck indoors for eight months.

Dead of winter is possibly the worst time of year to sell a camper, but I'm going to list it on Craigslist and FB Marketplace and see what happens. I've also heard with present economy, RV sales are way down, so lots of inventory and not much demand right now. I'm not financing it like a dealer would either so that limits the buying pool further. Will cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Might be worth listing on RVT and/or RVTrader. If it's <10 years old a buyer should be able to get conventional vehicle/RV financing on it. Lots of folks look for trailers this time of year so they can be ready to hit the road in the spring.
    History will judge the complicit.

        Absolutely not.
Would require purchase of a new 3/4 ton pickup and pulling something like that down the road would be akin to driving a semi ..... more work than fun.
Can stay in lots of motels, lodges and resorts for the cost of that rig and a truck.
