Mother's day plans (if you're fortunate to still have one)

Mailed my mom $100 in Hawaii and suggested she treat herself to Chinese food or Zippy's which a chain restaurant there. Normal work day for me on mother's day. All the moms that I work with are taking the day off.

My mom currently has pneumonia but seems to be coming along.

My wife has been in the hospital since 4/23 and may or may not be home by Sunday.

I’m scheduled to work 9-5 but that will depend on what’s going on with my wife.

So no Mother’s Day festivities here.

I am fortunate to still have a mom. We are supposed to get together (lots of family) this coming Sunday!

I'll send mine a $50 gift card to some restaurant, Long Horns, Olive Garden, etc. She'll take one of her friends out for a meal or two on it.

We're driving south 3 hours to visit my mom, we were just there 2 weeks ago to celebrate her 80th birthday.

The tentative plan is to have the Mom's over for dinner.

This will be the first Mother's Day without my Mom. But on the bright side, my son was born on Mother's Day and it has cycled back again! So Happy Birthday to him and he was the best Mother's Day present I have ever received!

Mom and I and my daughter will be on a cruise together on Mother's Day.

Oh I am so so sorry. But there is a lot of brightness to the day too! My thoughts and prayers are with you on bittersweet day.

Steve - hope your wife recovers quickly! And you take your mom something nice.

Me - I'm off camping with my girls (sigh it's a girl scout encamporee weekend). I hope one day they reflect and say OMG my mom on mother's day was out working hard for us (because she is insanely crazy and in love). So many troops aren't spending the night or doing it because it's mother's day. But i figure well only got a couple more years of them in my claws so i might as well make the most of it.

On the actual day I'll be working on/at her house.
The week after I'm taking her and 2 of my siblings out for a fancy afternoon tea. 1 sibling is travelling 3 hours to get here and it will be a surprise.
