Ha ha ha--perfect solution (if only they would reduce the can size of the other ingredients by 12.5%....)

No I need to double stuff so I have leftovers since the kids are eating like full grown adults.

I noticed a price increase for my favorite oatmeal. I buy it in bulk. First thing they did back in November was reduce the bulk size from 48 to 44 (we are starting to defeat the purpose of "bulk", but okay not a huge change).
At the same time the price went from $12.21 to 12.65. Still, not a huge change. Then, in May the price jumped to $17.77 for 44. I don't know if this is just Amazon (sometimes the price for an item with "free" shipping is the same as if you bought it elsewhere--item plus shipping) or if it is also has a steep price increase at my local grocery store.

Today ARCO across the street from me is $6.16 regular. Each day it goes up .05 cents to .10 cents a day. Once a week I fill up when I'm at about 1/4 tank to 1/3 tank remaining (I never let it get less than that and I often fill up at 1/2 tank often). What used to be $35 fill ups are now $75 fill ups. Soon it might be $100 or more.

Gas is insane. The price of oil dropped recently, too. I own a fullsize pickup and had to put in 19 gallons yesterday. 5.59/gallon. The pump clicked off at $100, first time ever for me on a gas pickup. The difference is, I've only put 2900 miles on it in the last year. It's expensive to fill up when it needs it, which, thankfully isn't often!

                History will judge the complicit.

I saw some article that said average household has $400 less per month due to increased prices of everything. I actually see a difference now since I drive around 80 miles a week. I spend $15.50/day in fuel. Vehicle gets approx 26mpg.

That sounds about right. If median income is somewhere around 60K and prices are up 10%, $400/mo is $4,800/yr which is about 10% of that 60K after taxes.

$60 for groceries. $20 for alcohol.

I’m lucky when the bill is $160 and that is with no alcohol.

I actually budget $280 a week between grocery store and wholesale club.

Ha-ha James nope no coupons this trip. And next week I’m going to Las Vegas so I doubled up on the chips and normally would pass on the Cheetos and pork rinds but taking extra chips for late night munchies (lol).

Doctors should tell their patients bring your latest grocery bill and the Drs’ would know if the patient is truthful or lieing (lol).
