This happened to me tonight. I had a coupon for KFC for a 3 piece meal for $5.99, so I drove about 3 miles to my nearest KFC and ordered it and drove home to eat it only to discover that they shorted me and only gave me a 2 piece meal. I was hungry so I didn't drive back and decided to suck it up and just live with it. In addition it was my fault for not checking to make sure before I left KFC. I was curious what others might do in such a situation?

I would automatically assume it is intentional. After eating the food, I would drive back to the restaurant with my Glock 26. If I saw who bagged my order, I would unload the clip into that particular individual. No sense punishing everyone if I know who is at fault.
However, if I did not see who bagged it, then I have little choice but to take it out on the entire staff.
Upon emptying my clip, I would grab an Original recipe thigh, a few napkins, then exit the restaurant.

I always check "to go" and take out orders before leaving a place. In my experience, about 50% of the time something is wrong with my order.
Probably not much you can do at this point, being that you already ate it.
Your first mistake was probably going to KFC. Gross!Brian

Just call them up and tell them what happened. Usually they're just give you free food if that happens. Heck when we were in high school we used to show up at the drive thru and tell the person working that we were here earlier and they screwed up our order...we spoke to the manager and they said to stop back and they would give us food...mind you we werent there earlier in the day...we were just stealing at this point. I cant remember a time when they turned us away. Easy way to score some free food. I can vividly remember doing this at taco bell, BK, mcdonalds, taco bell (this was the only one that pushed back but we did end up getting free food), and dunkin donuts.

OP, DH and I had this discussion the other day at Panda Express. The change stacker (or whatever it's called) had shorted us a nickel. We were still at the register but we looked at each other and said, "Should we?"
Meaning, should we make a big hairy deal out of being shorted a nickel. We did point it out and we weren't stabbed with a sharpened chopstick or anything.
You could mention the omission the next time you go to KFC and see what they do.
